This particular book serves as an aid for the Modern Greek Language course in the first grade of the Unified Lyceum. It aims to meet the needs of students both for processing and understanding the taught material and for responding to any examination process. For this reason, its writing is based both on the thematic units of the school book and on the new evaluation system, which is based on the Bank of Topics with Graded Difficulty. In this context, therefore, this book includes the following:

- Extensive presentation of the form and type of topics for groups A, B, and C of the course evaluation criteria, accompanied by the necessary theoretical elements, with characteristic examples and indicative answers for each case, as well as the methodology for producing written text.
- Detailed presentation of the theory of the school book by thematic unit, with the additional provision of useful information.
- Topics for practice in each thematic unit, aiming at further processing and understanding important elements of the theory.
- Informative material on the concepts of all thematic units included in the taught material of the course - this material is accompanied by additional parallel texts.
- All the evaluation criteria of the Bank of Topics corresponding to the units of this issue. These criteria are distributed by concept (e.g., Evaluation criteria for language, for language proficiency) and are enriched with suggested topics for producing written text (topic C), which are set by the teachers.
