The SSD Corsair Force MP600 Gen4 PCIe x4 NVMe M.2 provides exceptional storage performance, using Gen4 PCIe technology to achieve incredible fast sequential read speeds.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
The SSD was installed in a system with Ryzen 7 5800X and B450 Tomahawk, which obviously does not support GEN 4.0 speeds. Currently, a Samsung 970 plus 1TB GEN 3.0 is priced at 154 euros, while this one is priced at 165 euros. Compared to the Samsung, it offers slightly better speeds on a GEN 3.0 motherboard (due to bottleneck), a "giant" heatsink, the prospect of higher speeds in a future upgrade (on a GEN 4 motherboard), and a 1,800TBW manufacturer endurance rating compared to Samsung's 600 TBW. So, for someone looking for a high-end GEN 3.0 NVME considering the current prices, I believe this one is a much better choice for just a 10 euro difference, even if it is to be used on a GEN 3.0 motherboard. Compared to the Adata XPG Gammix S11 Pro that I had, the differences in speed were about 1500 MB/s. The SSD remains consistently around 40 degrees and has speeds of 3500 Mb/s in read and write, which is obviously the limit of GEN 3.0. Although I haven't tested it myself, according to reviewers, the SSD is equally good on a GEN 4.0 motherboard and delivers on its promises in terms of speeds.
Edit: After 1.5 years of trouble-free use, the SSD was upgraded to Z690 with Gen 4.0 and now runs at the promised speeds.
In the 9 months, he suddenly stopped working and left me without a system as it was also boot. He was sent abroad from the Greek store where he was purchased and we have exceeded one and a half months without a response. The software is nonexistent and if it existed, the loss of data might have been reversible. The first time I went from Samsung to Corsair because I wanted gen 4 and I regretted it. Until it broke, it worked at the advertised speeds. Of course, if I knew it would hang me like this, I would definitely settle for something slower but reliable. Forced to give it one star from me due to reliability and ineffective support after the damage. No matter what speeds it used to reach, now it reaches zero and my data is lost. I hope I helped.
This specific nvme does what it promises. I have seen speeds ranging from 4250MB/s to 5600MB/s (sequential read/write speed) depending on the software used for measurements. It has been installed in the main PCIe4 slot of an ASUS TUF X570 GAMING PLUS. On the positive side, it is very cool!!! Temperatures are around 36-39 degrees even when under load. It now costs about the same as top-tier gen 3 drives and compared to them, it offers value for money due to its excellent factory cooling, as well as the little extra it can gain you... In tests, it appears to be 5 times faster than a classic SSD (I have a Samsung 840pro 128GB and a Crucial MX500 250GB for comparison). In real-world use, you definitely notice a small difference in responsiveness and application loading, but in my opinion, it's not worth spending an extra 50+60 euros for a top-tier gen 3 or gen 4 NVMe like the MP600... It's better to get a cheaper or larger capacity SSD unless you constantly transfer large files or install large programs... That's where the difference is noticeable and very significant. Nevertheless, I am very satisfied with this purchase!
On the negative side, there is something very small but a real headache... It does not include a screw in the packaging to secure it, so I had to order a kit that cost an additional 10 euros with shipping... Of course, this is also a motherboard issue, so I won't deduct a star.
Finally, the software is nothing special... ages behind Samsung Magician... but it does its job and includes a built-in disk cloning program that makes the installation process a breeze. No problems so far!!
UPDATE 14/8
It continues to work flawlessly, without any slowdown in the speeds I mentioned, even during the recent hot days when it reached up to 56 degrees... as long as the other NVMe drives without a heatsink reach normal room temperatures (20-25 degrees Celsius).
I have an AMD 5600x processor and an Asus 570 motherboard. When I tried to install Assassin's Creed Valhalla, I realized how fast it is. I am satisfied with its performance, but I haven't done any tests to see if it actually meets its claims
Just received it (2 days ago) so I don't have a complete opinion yet, but it seems fine. It reached temperatures up to 40 degrees!
edit 1: the temperature remains steady at 35 even when the CPU reaches 60 (2700x with a good cooler)
