Description

In his objective study of the texts, Maurice Bucaille clarifies many preconceived ideas about the Old Testament, the Gospels, and the Quran. In this collection of Writings, he attempts to separate what belongs to Revelation from the product of error or human interpretation. His study sheds new light on the Holy Scriptures. At the end of a convincing exposition, he places the Believer before a point of primary importance: the continuity of a Revelation that comes from the same God, with modes of expression that differ over time.
He leads us to study these factors, which today should spiritually unite rather than divide, Jews, Christians, and Muslims.

As a surgeon, Maurice Bucaille was often in a position to examine not only the bodies of people but also their souls. This is how he was struck by the existence of Muslim piety and the principles of Islam that remain unknown to the majority of non-Muslims. In his effort to find explanations that he could hardly obtain, he learned Arabic and studied the Quran. In it, he was surprised to find statements about natural phenomena, the meaning of which can only be understood through modern scientific knowledge.

He then turned to the issue of the authenticity of the texts that make up the Holy Scriptures of monotheistic religions. Finally, in the case of the Bible, he proceeded to a confrontation between the writings and scientific data.

The results of his research on the Judeo-Christian Revelation and the Quran are presented in this book.
