The civil war violates and distorts all those elements that constitute individual and social life. The effects of the civil war on external and internal reality are catalytic. The search for the consequences of the Civil War in Greek society, seventy years later, is a difficult task. Even more so when the raising of the issue is influenced by contemporary developments. The experiences of psychoanalysts through the associations of the analyzed individuals offer them the opportunity to seek the perception that descendants have of the experiences of their ancestors in the Civil War. They also offer us the knowledge of an unconscious transgenerational transmission of these experiences as well as their participation in shaping the internal reality of future generations.
