After a lot of work for three days, it started shaking and playing the bottom part where the dust collection bag goes, resulting in making more noise as if it was falling apart. I tried tightening the screws but they were already screwed in, the bottom part has a poor fit.
When everything is made in China now, I will soon stop buying branded products since they won't have any difference
Very satisfied.
I would like to note for those who do not know, the red series of Makita is inferior to this blue series, which is considered professional and offers the possibility of extending the warranty.
Nevertheless, Makita respects its name and the tools it offers are reliable and valuable.
One of the best choices I made with the Makita brand!!!! I have been using it for almost a year and recently worked with it for several hours in two wooden rooms, about 15m each, and the result was incredible (we're talking about a lot of sanding, even with pet hair, and considering the price, I highly recommend it). The only negative thing I can say is that despite its very good dust suction, the bag comes off easily, but it's just a matter of finding a solution
For the money, it is the BEST. It withstands non-stop work! I have had it for a year, if it happens to break, I will buy it again!!! The dust bag does a very good job!!! The only thing I would like is a slightly longer cord!
It can withstand working non-stop as long as your hands can! Convenient size and weight as needed. The bag is simply standard (I haven't tested it with suction)
The tool was purchased for amateur and occasional use. It is the first time I have used a sander, so the evaluation is done by a person with no previous experience and after sanding wood to create a bookshelf.
Positives:
-Sturdy construction
-Ergonomic handle
-Lightweight that does not strain
-The bag collects a large amount of "dust"
-It is "quiet" for use in an open space
-Does not heat up after about 1.5 hours of use
Negatives:
-It would be useful to have a slightly longer cord
-With continuous use after about 1 hour, it starts to tire due to vibrations, I don't know if a higher quality tool transfers fewer vibrations
-Does not have speed adjustment
For amateur use, I highly recommend it, it is worth the money even though it is slightly more expensive than "semi-professional" Chinese ones.
A value for money tool with a bag that collects the dust. I don't know if it can withstand the daily wear and tear of a professional, but for the use I give it once a week, it is perfect!
An amazing tool for both amateur and professional use. I have worked with it for 3 hours without turning it off and its motor remained at the same temperature as before I started working. The dust collection is very good and the connection with a vacuum cleaner is very easy. Perhaps the only negative aspect is that the intensity of its noise can be bothersome.
Amazing tool, I got it because I am renovating a boat and I spend the whole day sanding something. We're talking hours of sanding and it doesn't give up. Despite its price, I would describe it as professional!
Excellent, it helped me clean off the remaining bark (I had already removed half of it with a chisel) from a branch intended for a light fixture. It was a difficult task because the bark was very tight and due to the curvature of the wood and other irregularities. It did not overheat.
Dust collection is very good. Although it was not used on a flat surface, it collected a lot of dust.
