    No action was needed for synchronization. One that you open the package, one that you use it. I bought it for an old Hokkaido (I don't know if such A/Cs are still available). The only negative thing I can attribute to it (given its value) is a delay in response time from the moment you press the button until the command is executed on the A/C.
