The conditions under which the collection of books that make up the Old Testament was born and formed, as well as the presentation of the content of its individual works, the socio-political and cultural context in which their authors lived, the process of their composition and inclusion in the collection, and the theological approaches they develop, constitute the main topics of this book. Its aim is to make it possible for any interested party to access the content and understand the message of perhaps the only work in world literature that has maintained its relevance for two consecutive millennia.
