It ties well, quickly (5 minutes of work), and securely holds 1, maybe 2 bikes comfortably. I don't think it's suitable for 3 bikes at all, unless they are children's bikes. Personally, I use it for one bike and it is excellent.

After it was installed by professionals, it fell off just as it was installed for the first trip. On the way back on the national road from Athens to Lamia, the attachment that holds the bike frame came off, causing the bikes to fall off.
