Rapid Antigen Test for Streptococcus A DyonStrepA-strip®

The DyonStrepA-strip® (Group A Streptococcus Ag) is a rapid immunochromatographic test for the qualitative detection of Group A Streptococcus antigen in a human pharyngeal swab sample.

Using a pharyngeal swab, you can differentiate streptococcal infections from other etiological factors with 99% sensitivity and specificity. Type A streptococcus is one of the most important pathogens, responsible for:

• acute pharyngitis
• tonsillitis
• impetigo
• scarlet fever

Differentiating streptococcal infections from other etiological factors (e.g., viral, mycoplasma, or chlamydial infections) is essential to initiate appropriate treatment.
