Description

With 20.1 MP1 image quality, electronic viewfinder, bright ZEISS® lens, and compact size, the RX100 III is designed for photography enthusiasts who are frequently on the move.

Even wider angles, even closer shots

Capture a vast panoramic shot or the perfect close-up

The Vario-Sonnar® T 24-70 mm F1.8-2.8 lens from the renowned optical company ZEISS® offers exceptional versatility and allows you to take wide-angle and close-up shots, as well as zoom shots.

The advantage of a 24mm wide-angle lens

Do you want to take a panoramic shot? Or a huge building that you can't move away from? No problem!

Versatile lens for macro photography

The bright 70 mm zoom lens with an F2.8 aperture provides a working distance of 30 cm (12").

Capture all the details with the BIONZ X processor

With the BIONZ X, the enhanced detail reproduction and diffraction reduction technology render fine lines with greater sharpness and clarity. Blurring from light points is reduced, especially in small aperture settings.

Face every challenge with multiple AF settings

Capture the moment, whether your subject is moving quickly or smiling

Thanks to the wide range of autofocus (AF) capabilities, you can focus on your subject and not your equipment. Two of these features are briefly presented below.

Automatic focus with motion tracking

Auto focus lock improves tracking by adjusting the frame size according to the subject's size.

Eye autofocus

The eye autofocus function detects and focuses on the subject's eyes, even when they are partially turned away.

Manual focus and custom settings

Thanks to the wide range of manual options and the customizable button, you can quickly gain even greater creative control over every shot.

Manual Focus Options (MF)

With Manual Focus Assist (image magnification) and other features, manual focusing is even easier.

Unfortunately, the worst camera experience ever, especially from Sony. Image quality is very good, ease of use is moderate. However, after maybe not even 3,000 clicks - and in carefully maintained environments, not in sand, etc. - after 2.5 years of very light use, it basically broke and wouldn't start. Same incident as this: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repairing+DSC-RX100+Error:+%22Turn+camera+off+then+on%22+-+%22Kamera+aus-+und+wieder+einschalten%22/54458. Various tricks didn't help, so the camera was essentially thrown away and replaced with a new one. Very disappointed with Sony - even though the build quality seemed exceptional externally, something went very wrong internally with the lens-sensor assembly. I regretted the money I had spent...

Having a DSLR, I decided to buy a pocket camera as well. After searching for many months and ending up with a budget of 500€, I finally settled on this one, and I can say that I made an excellent choice. I found it on Black Friday with a discount for 400€ and immediately grabbed it. It has amazing lenses that give you a very good and high-quality photo, it focuses incredibly fast, and it is very powerful for night photography due to its aperture. You can also set it to AUTO ISO up to 6400 and it's perfect.

Excellent for night shots, practical viewfinder, very good quality, I always have it with me due to its small size. Although a bit expensive, for someone who is a bit more involved in photography, it is an excellent choice.

As an amateur in photography, I will say that the user experience with this specific camera is beyond satisfactory, as you don't need anything more to achieve exceptional results.

On its own, in the automatic modes it offers results that will leave you amazed, but it is necessary to have an opinion on how you can improve your photographic skills with a little study on photography. Additionally, when you learn its manual functions, the results are elevated.

It is worth mentioning that as soon as I sold the entry-level DSLR camera I had, because portability was an issue for the intended use, the superiority of the RX100iii was evident from the beginning, despite its smaller sensor.

At the price it is currently at, there is no reason for an amateur to look for something else (especially a cheap entry-level DSLR), as this camera covers you in terms of price-performance ratio in all aspects.

The only negative aspect I can attribute to it is its unsatisfactory zoom.

I bought this specific camera 2 days ago on Black Friday. I wanted to buy it for a long time, but its price was high. Now I got it at an excellent price for this camera. I had only read good reviews and no one mentioned a negative aspect. It is a pocket camera and at any moment in automatic mode, you have high-quality shots. Excellent build quality, high-quality photography in low light with the very good bright aperture f/1.8

The best thing that has come into my hands until today! Ideal and always ready for baby-child photos, very good night shots due to the sensor and lens (aperture f1.8-2.8) and a combination of portability and quality that I don't think there is a comparable one on the market at the moment.. Maybe the Canon G7X, but it lacks the viewfinder.. I would definitely recommend a case, preferably the original Sony one, which both protects and is just one button away from clicking.. I see absolutely no reason for a beginner not to prefer it over an entry-level DSLR with the 18-55 kit lens, while due to its portability, it also serves as an excellent backup for a semi-professional or professional who will definitely not be disappointed..

I bought the device yesterday. The machine is really awesome, fast, small dimensions, multiple functions such as wi-fi and nfc, and most importantly, it takes truly impeccable photos, especially from what I saw at night. The only negative for me is the price.
