Very good cooler, we love Noctua. Everything is perfect even with overclocking, the Ryzen 7600x does not go above 80c.

I have stopped using liquid cooling in recent years as I burned two graphics cards due to water leakage. It is bulky, however, it is reliable and silent.

It may be a beast, but THERE IS NO BETTER AIR COOLING!
The only other air cooling that comes close to the Noctua NH D15 is the Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4.

Guys, the cooler is the best thing I have for my 5900x and it stays around 34 degrees at idle. It's quiet but bulky as known. I only had an issue with my second fan not fitting because it was hitting the RAM, although they say it's not necessary. So everything is fine as long as you have a big case.

What was once ThermalRight is now Noctua, the best CPU air coolers by far.

The NH-D15 is the best performing cooler from Noctua. It is bulky, but the quietness it provides and its cooling performance surpasses everything, even custom built high-end watercooling loops. You can cool even the hottest processors quietly, even with the fans running at 35-40% of their speed. If you upgrade to a newer processor and socket, no problem, Noctua will send you a free mounting bracket for your new motherboard. Their after-sales support is simply unmatched.

Don't think too much about it... if you want performance in overclocking your CPU and at the same time... your peace and quiet, a big Noctua like the NH-D15, NH-D14, U12S, etc. will make you happy! (and you'll immediately start replacing your other fans with the more efficient and much quieter Noctua fans!)

It was installed in a new system on an Asus rog strix B550 F gaming motherboard. The size is so big that with the installation of the 2 fans, it covered all the RAM slots. Luckily, I had read some reviews and had purchased low profile RAM (hyper X Fury) and with the placement of the front fan 3 fins higher, I now have a 1mm gap above the RAM and a 2mm gap from the case cover (cougar panzer max). So, I recommend caution before purchasing it, measure the distances and the space in your case well.
I won't comment on the cooling because it was what I expected, Ryzen 7 5800x at 27ºC idle and max 67ºC in benchmark tests.
4 stars because it attacked me during installation and scratched my hands...

Incredibly quiet.. just what I wanted. I haven't tested it for temperatures in overclock situations. Great construction and easy installation.
The only thing you need to be careful about is its size, because it also has a second (optional) fan, which you should check if it fits. It barely fit for me.. and I have a large case. It's better to measure first to see if it fits.

5 stars from me. Because this Burri really destroys dry cooling and it has no but and it burned my pump and my PC doesn't turn on because the CPU overheated, on a Ryzen 5 2600 at 4Ghz and 1350V in stress test it reached 70 degrees max. In GTA and similar games it reached 46 degrees max and idle it reached 27 degrees due to strong airflow and also because it helps the graphics card since it is right above the ChipSet where it gets hot. Get it blindly, I bought it for 100 euros yesterday and they brought it to my house at the same time, maybe the best CPU cooling purchase I've ever made!

    Ryzen 5 2600
    CoolerMaster TD500
MSI RX Vega 56 Air Boost OC (Blower)

    Fan configuration:
    2x12cm front intake
    1x12cm rear exhaust
In the Noctua, I have installed the two fans, one in the center and the other on the left, right above the 12cm fan I have for exhaust next to the I/O Plate.
Photo of my setup here: https://i.imgur.com/Gj1tjKB.jpg

    Stock AMD Cooler: (Ryzen 5 2600 -> 3.8Ghz + 1.28v)
    Idle: 43°C
    Load: 85.5°C

    Noctua NH-D15 Brown (Ryzen 5 2600 -> 3.8Ghz + 1.28v)
    Idle: 29.9°C
    Load: 51°C

Furthermore, because it also has 14cm fans, it helps a lot with my graphics card.. The card, which used to reach a maximum of 75°C under full load, has dropped to 63-65°C!

At stock clocks of 3.4Ghz for the Ryzen 5 2600, I have idle temperatures of 30°C and max load temperatures of 47°C. Truly quiet fans!
I would have preferred the black version to match my build, but I got it used for half the price.

Excellent cooler both in performance and construction quality.
    At idle 19 - 23 C° and consistently 50 - 65 C° after 60 minutes of stress on i7 9700k (without overclocking and with room temperature 20 - 22 C°).
Even with the case open, it is quiet at a distance of 1 m.
Easy installation and overall quality and sturdy construction.
Its size is large and requires a suitable case to be installed and perform as it should. After all, it is intended for high-performance systems that already require a midi - full tower in order for the cooling performance to be effective.
Appearance is purely subjective, but it should be the last (or not at all) criterion for purchasing such a top product.

The best air cooling in my opinion. I put it on a 6700k with 4.6oc and it doesn't exceed 50c. I highly recommend it! Note that you need a full tower, it's a beast! It took me about 20 minutes to install. The Allen wrench it comes with doesn't help. It's better to have a long screwdriver so you can apply force to the two screws that hold with springs!

In 3700X, the fans do not spin at all in idle and reach 400 RPM while browsing or watching a movie, at which point they are completely silent. Due to better cooling, the processor automatically went from 4000MHz to 4125MHz under full load (with PBO off). The installation took me almost half an hour despite having extensive experience. The large size reduced airflow to the memory and made the heatsink necessary to withstand prolonged stress with high currents.

The vacuum cleaner does a good job if it's meant to lower the temperatures even more, let them make them even bigger!!!
Perfect, silent until it struggles a lot, but even when it struggles, it doesn't make any crazy noise.
The negative thing for me is the screws with the springs that gave me a hard time at the beginning, you just need to turn each screw half a turn even if it seems like it doesn't have any effect, take your time, one turn on each screw alternately and it's fine, it doesn't need to be rushed, it needs patience.
    Go for it

It's perfect in every way! Very easy to install, intentionally has "space" on the sides for tall memories, and it's almost silent! I have a Thermaltake case and it fits perfectly, I just had to remove the fan from the case window!

I installed it in September on the new PC with an i7 8700K.
I haven't installed the second fan. Only one in the middle.
The case is a full tower with 3 140mm fans, 2 in the front and 1 in the back.
In idle use, it stays around 30°C. Under heavy load, it reaches around 50°C.
    Completely silent.
It is indeed a beast, but that is probably an advantage for cooling.
I wouldn't think of anything else.

Before the nh-d15, I had the ek predator 360 and I had a big issue with the noise it made even at very low rpm. After purchasing the Noctua, I have to say that I will never go back to liquid cooling. The cooler is on a 6700k and as for temperatures, I won't speak as there are many different factors from user to user. The only thing I have to say is that if it fits in your case, just buy it without a second thought.

After a lot of searching to go for a close water cooling or air cooling, I ended up with this one... performance that reaches water cooling at 150 euros and without the risk of anything getting punctured and causing damage... the cost of damage is much smaller on the positive side, but the negative is that it lowers the temperature 3-4 seconds slower than a sudden water cooling... meaning if you run prime95 at 70 and then call it to go to 35, one CPU will take 5-6 seconds and the other will take 7-8...
The positives are that the air also helps the motherboard...

So, on the 2700x, IDLE is 28-30
in light use, internet, movies, etc. 30-34
in intense gaming, pubg (full high 144hz) 45-47

  • The cooler is very good for anyone considering getting it, of course without any fear, and this is said by someone who has custom water cooling from ek.

What you should pay attention to is if you have low profile RAM and compatibility with the first PCI Express slot that the graphics card goes into, and of course if it fits in your case.

In case you don't have low profile RAM, there is no serious issue since the fans can be adjusted and can be placed higher or you can put the fan that goes on the right side on the left side, however, you will have to calculate these two extra centimeters to see if it fits in the case. It doesn't necessarily require a full tower, for example, I have it in the Define R6 by Fractal on a 6700K, which cools it very well since now in the summer it goes around 60-65, which is very good for the money compared to an AIO water cooling.

Finally, the installation is a piece of cake, and I recommend doing it outside the case

I was considering between this one and the d14. I ended up buying this one because it is newer as a model, and I installed it on an i5 2320 at 3ghz. I had an issue with the RAM, because even though it is low profile, the fan was slightly above them and couldn't close the case, so I operate it with a fan on top (I couldn't place it on the back either, as it was on the VRM heatsinks). The good thing is that with an email to the company, they will send me an AM4 bracket (for free) that I requested for an upgrade. Temperature-wise, it's perfect, 28 idle - 55 max on prime95, with just 1 fan. I wasn't as satisfied with the noise, I was expecting something completely silent, as I am curious about the "sound" issue. Obviously, it's quieter than the previous one, but I was expecting something dead silent, which is why I deducted 1 star.

I put it on an i5 7600k with overclock at 4.6ghz and Vcore 1.248 - 1.260 and it performs excellently. In a stress test with Aida64 for about 40 minutes, it reached a maximum temperature of 66 degrees with a room temperature of 30 degrees. It is quiet but bulky, as mentioned by previous users. For this price, for anyone who doesn't want to spend an extra 60€-90€ for a 280mm AIO liquid cooler that offers the same or even worse performance, it is almost a one-way street. Unless one doesn't like the appearance, although with a glass side panel it looks extremely imposing to me. Keep in mind that over time, Noctua will release heatsink covers in black and white colors that will completely change the appearance of the cooler and further improve airflow.

I have it for two months on a 7700k and NZXT NOCTIS 450 case.
It keeps the processor idle at 29-31 degrees and in gaming (andromeda, rise of the tomb raider, arkham knight) it reached a maximum of 66 degrees.
The installation is relatively easy, even for a beginner. However, be careful not to misalign the plates during installation.
    Good build quality.
    Silent.
If not the best, it is definitely the second best choice for air cooling.

I have it for 1 year+ on a 5820k with very low temperatures, Wolfenstein NEW order at 37 degrees and generally around 40 to 45, maximum 55 in the summer, always depending on the game. Only in Witcher 3 it was at 50 degrees. All of this with many hours of gaming usage.

Well, whatever I say is a little bit!
    1. AMD FX 8150
    2. Asus Sabertooth 990 FX
Well, before the Noctua, I had the Corsair AIO GT 80i, unfortunately it left us after 1-1.5 years due to a pump issue. With that AIO, the overclock I had was at 4.6Ghz at 1.44v, and when I ran AIDA, the temperatures reached 55°C within 10 minutes, and the Vcore was 60+.
Now, with this beast, within 10 minutes the temperature is 46°C, and most importantly, the Vcore is at 45°C, simply because they cool down as the CPU cools down.
    The best and quietest!

Top air coolers. One negative aspect is its size. You need a deep case and it's not suitable for frequent movements or impacts, at least in a horizontal position. Other than that, it has only positives. Long-term warranty, excellent Noctua quality, it's quiet, it's fairly easy to install considering its size, and it provides excellent cooling. Slightly modified 6700k, idle temperatures range from 20-28 depending on room temperature, and it reaches a maximum of 50 under full load. Exceptional.
