Owner since 2016. It has never disappointed me. Holes in adjacent bricks with a 50mm glass drill bit without any hesitation. I have indeed bought 2 more newer models, but this particular one is immortal.
The truth is that I have had it for about 6 years with professional use, not everyday. I am an electrician and I used Makita for many years without any problems, only carbon brushes. I changed the carbon brushes on this one and after about a year it started to have interruptions while I was pressing the switch. I went to the service and they told me it's the switch. The mechanic says it will cost 160€. I had my doubts that the switch would break after older models that had issues, and in the end, I was right. It's better to buy a new one... It's a shame for the company, I had a higher opinion of them
Very powerful! You wouldn't believe it's battery-operated. For drilling 10, 12, 16 mm holes in concrete, it's like drilling through butter. I use MAKITA quad drills.

After 2 months, the impact broke. Possibly a manufacturing defect in this particular one.
