The evaluation of children's behavior in the context of preschool education is closely related to making important decisions about their development, upbringing, and education. Through evaluation, educators support their decisions on the teaching methods they will implement in their classroom and/or their choice to seek additional help from specialists in order to effectively address children's behavioral problems. This book examines the evaluation of the behavior of preschool-aged children and presents the design and weighting of the revised Behavior Checklist for Preschool Age (BCPA). The purpose of the BCPA is to gather information about children's daily behavior in the classroom from their educator. Specifically, the book describes the types of behavioral problems evaluated by the BCPA, the administration and scoring of the checklist, as well as its psychometric properties, which validate the reliability and validity of its results. The goal of the book is to be a useful addition to the "arsenal" of preschool educators who daily encounter various behavioral problems in the classroom and are called upon to evaluate or address them. Additionally, the book will prove useful to students studying child development, education, and upbringing, as well as to special educators, psychoeducators, and school psychologists who are tasked with diagnosing and subsequently designing and implementing early intervention programs for the effective management of behavioral problems in preschool-aged children.
