• EVA midsole, dynamic shock absorption for comfort and less fatigue.
• TPU CHASSIS (Thermoplastic Polyurethane Chassis). Controls forefoot and rearfoot motion for stability in the arch and heel.
• CONTAGRIP Rubber outsole. Protects against sharp rocks and provides better traction on rocky surfaces.
• Ortholite insole, an antimicrobial insole with a long lifespan. Provides improved breathability, sweat and odor control, and is made from a combination of polyurethane and elastic materials.
• Cushioning. A high-performance EVA foam that offers vibration damping, reducing shock.
• CONTAGRIP MUD. The Contagrip Mud outsole, designed by Salomon for the most unstable, wet, and muddy surfaces. It is one of the most iconic features of the famous Speedcross models, as well as other trail models of the company, which are designed for these conditions. The composition of the Contagrip Mud outsole compound consists of softer materials for high grip on muddy and very slippery surfaces, as well as on soft snow. The lugs on the Contagrip Mud outsole protrude significantly in order to dig deep into soft ground. The large gaps between the lugs allow mud to quickly escape from the outsole with each step.
