A very good shoe that I have bought only for racing use. Therefore, my opinion is only for races and mountain training. It is very durable (3+ training sessions in the mountains per week, 9-10 km with 300+ positive elevation) and lasted for 9 months with 5 to 6 races in between (25-40 km). I have been buying the same shoe for 3 years and it fits perfectly on my foot. Overall, it depends on the individual's foot and what suits them best because we all have different shapes. It has a very good grip for technical trails, quite good in mud and slippery rocks. Of course, all of this also depends on one's technique. The shoe alone does not work miracles. Personally, having tried over 10 different shoes from various brands, I have ended up here and I don't experiment anymore. Its weight is a relative downside compared to Hoka, which is very lightweight, but its durability cannot be compared. It is generally good to wash it every 2 weeks because the sweat that remains in the shoe hardens the fabric, risking tearing. Of course, there is a possibility of buying a shoe that has been stored for a long time, resulting in some part coming off (it has happened to me once with this model and with others). Of course, it is not a big issue and can be fixed easily and with minimal cost, as long as it doesn't stay for a long time and open up more.
Excellent shoe.
It was intended for mountain running, on technical rocky trails. It keeps the ankle stable and allows you to develop speed downhill as it grips firmly. They felt heavy at first, but I got used to it. Wear and tear appeared after 1000 kilometers, on the front seams which still survive with repair.
They are worth their money.
The Bushido is a shoe for various terrains that will satisfy you on both soft and hard ground. It is fast with very good grip on downhill slopes and more. I have been wearing it for many years and I haven't changed it yet, at least we are eagerly waiting to see the new model.
The heel inside broke quickly, as did the mesh on the front part of the shoe.
If I wanted it for just one race, I would buy it again.
Excellent shoe for rough terrains. Very good support on the foot and very comfortable. The big downside is that it is only for mountain running and not for any other use. It is the only shoe that I can go fast (under 5) downhill, until now I disliked downhill and went very slowly. After 100 km, the sole still looks new. They also kept my foot stable during an ugly stumble while I was distracted by the view from the mountain.
Before even taking them to the mountains for running/walking, I used them about 20 times for intense walking in the city on routes of about 20 kilometers up and down. Not even in a month, they hit me badly on my right heel. What happened is simply that the inner lining opened and the thin layer of foam came off at this point, causing my foot to rub against the hard plastic inside. This is not justified because:
a) According to La Sportiva's size chart, my size is between 41 and 41.5 and I got size 42.
b) My left foot is bigger, so even if it was a size issue, it should have hit my left foot and not the right.
To say the good things, if this hadn't happened, I would say it is the best shoe I have tried so far, it hugs the foot like a glove and it didn't hit me at all despite having a wide sole and generally my toes easily get hit in the front, and supposedly this model has a narrow fit.
I consider it clearly a material failure of this specific shoe that simply happened to me and not generally of the model, but be aware..
I will try to contact the company and hope they will replace or repair them at least.
Very narrow fit! Very good for technical trails. Uphill and especially downhill very good grip. On flat pieces they are quite challenging. For trail use only. 3* worth it, I added the fourth * for aesthetics

Very narrow fit for its size. Completely uncomfortable.
