Description

One of the fundamental elements of Christianity is faith in Jesus as a historical figure who was born in a specific time and place, performed tangible miracles, was crucified, and then resurrected as stated in the New Testament. However, are there any extrabiblical evidence for all of these events? Is it a true story or just another myth?
This question is examined by Mythicism, a school of thought that argues that many ancient gods, including Jesus, were not real individuals but mythological characters who shared common archetypal elements and in many cases symbolized natural phenomena such as the Sun, weather conditions, geological changes, etc.
The first Mythicists began to explore the problem of the historicity of Jesus in the late 18th century. Since then, additional evidence has been recorded by academics, historians, theologians, and independent researchers, shedding more light on the mystery of Jesus' life.
This book collects the views of several contemporary representatives of Mythicism, presenting their positions to the Greek audience for the first time. The journalistic research by Minas Papageorgiou consists of seventeen interviews with scholars and academics who respond to the question with detailed evidence and serious arguments: was Jesus a historical figure or not?

The exclusive interviews in this research include: Dr. Robert Price (theologian), Dr. Maria Dzielska (historian), Dr. Gerd Ludemann (theologian), Dr. Gunnar Samuelsson (theologian), Dr. Lena Einhorn (biologist and historical researcher), Dr. Payam Nabarz (author and reviver of the Mithraeum), Earl Doherty (historian), D.M. Murdock / Acharya S (author and comparative mythology researcher), Kenneth Humphreys (author and researcher), Joseph Atwill (author and researcher), Neil Godfrey (coordinator of the Mythicist blog Vridar), Fritz Heede (director), Fransesco Carotta (linguist and researcher), Daniel Unterbrink (author and researcher), Ioannis Bousios (researcher and hierophant of the "Gardens of Adonis"), Christos Morfos (author and researcher), and Charita Mini (philologist and author).

Excellent book that introduced to the public a completely unknown school of thought with roots in the Enlightenment. It goes without saying that previously such views could not be expressed (see Middle Ages, sacred examination, etc.).
The author brings to light revealing evidence that something is not right with the historicity of Jesus, while the book includes 19 interviews with academics and experts from 10 different countries, ensuring a variety of information and opinions. Not recommended for dogmatic individuals. However, it is recommended for open-minded Christians due to its exceptional writing style.

Biased research and distortion of data. Lack of important historical events, such as the destruction of ancient libraries. A theory that will never be proven to have a basis, as it suddenly appeared in 1800 and resurfaced in 1990, is simply an unsubstantiated hypothesis of some academic articles. But they are respected in the rankings, with great hypocrisy and contradictions.
