Solar charging works great and if the battery runs low, it goes into power-saving mode until you expose it to light.
The only negatives I found are related to the negative display, which is, of course, a choice. Although beautiful, it is hard to read and consumes a lot of battery to illuminate.
As an owner of a Seiko Snowflake, I can say that it is one of the most beautiful watches in my collection for everyday use and the one I wear the most on my wrist.
