Jack Richter is on a city bus, just minding his own business, with no particular destination in mind and all the time in the world to get there. He gets off the bus to help an elderly man who is in danger of becoming a victim of a crime. But you know what they say about good deeds. And now Richter wants to set things right. An elderly couple has made some unfortunate mistakes and now owe a lot of money to criminals. One bold move leads to the next and suddenly Richter finds himself wanted in a violent war between two gangs of Ukrainians and Albanians. Richter must stay one step ahead of loan sharks, scum, and killers. He teams up with a waitress who is fed up with the situation and knows more than she claims, and his goal is to bring down the powerful and make the greedy pay. A difficult mission. The odds are against him. But Richter believes in a specific kind of justice... the kind that appears once in a million.
