Description

The Cthulhu Mythos forms the heart of H.P. Lovecraft's work, as depicted in his classic tales: terrifying Gods and monstrous creatures that come from otherworldly dimensions and from the dawn of time to reclaim our world. Those unfortunate enough to witness them are doomed to madness and destruction.

The Cthulhu Mythos has inspired countless stories and novels by newer writers and creators, as well as role-playing games, video games, movies, comics, and collectible items. The Cthulhu Mythos is now one of the most significant aspects of pop culture.

The design team Førtifem, drawing inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft's classic stories, recreates the greatest Cthulhu myths in the form of a luxurious and comprehensive tarot deck. The Cthulhu Dark Arts Tarot is the first to be entirely based on the eerie universe of the great horror writer.

Each deck consists of 78 illustrated cards, 22 Major Arcana cards, and 56 Minor Arcana cards, and comes with a 64-page book for learning the basic principles of tarot reading and for the reading and interpretation of each card.

The deck is printed on high-quality paper, 315 gsm for increased flexibility and durability over time, and better color and illustration rendering.

The size of each card is 8.5 cm x 16.5 cm, significantly larger than the common tarot card sizes, and approximates the shape of one of the oldest decks, the so-called Visconti-Sforza, created by the artist Bonifacio Bembo, between 1428 and 1447.
