By the term "Matrix test," we mean the variety of pattern tests used to assess an individual's abilities, typically given in exams of various schools, mainly abroad. This book did not limit itself to strictly defined "Matrix tests," but expanded to all forms of pattern tests to provide greater completeness.

Many believe that these tests cannot be taught and therefore constitute, in a way, an absolute method of measuring certain abilities of an individual.

In this book, I tried to deviate a bit from the rule of "cannot be taught" and made an effort to reveal all the tricks one can use to answer as many tests as possible in the shortest possible time.

To make the whole task easier, I divided all existing types into categories according to the type of ability being measured and tried to provide examples in each category, describing the thought process and the tricks used.

At the end of each chapter, I placed tests for solving, and in separate chapters, I included the topics given in Military Schools in Greece, in schools abroad (e.g., in Medical Schools in Germany, they are used as a supplementary method for selecting candidates).

Finally, in a separate chapter, I included some special tests for measuring the intelligence quotient (IQ) with self-assessment.

I believe that this book fills a gap in the Greek and Cypriot market, which is why I deemed its publication necessary.
