Description

MacBook Pro is aimed at the professional with a focus on portability, who is looking for maximum power in areas such as video and audio editing, as well as professional developers.

It features a Retina display with 3024x1964 resolution at 120hz and guarantees amazing image quality with unparalleled smoothness. It is a premium device of high performance and quality construction.

It is equipped with the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard for speeds up to 40% faster than Wi-Fi 5 as well as top-of-the-line Thunderbolt 4 to support up to 2 4K displays or one 8K display. Also, data transfer speeds skyrocket providing an unrivalled user experience.

Finally, the battery life can reach up to 21 hours on a single charge.

Scary fast

M1 Pro takes the outstanding performance of M1 architecture to a whole new level for professional users. Even the most ambitious projects are easily tackled with up to 10 CPU cores, up to 16 GPU cores, 16 Neural Engine cores and dedicated media engine encoders and decoders supporting H.264, HEVC and ProRes encoders.

Unsurpassed screen

The Liquid Retina XDR is the best screen a laptop has ever had. It has Extreme Dynamic Range and a million-to-one contrast ratio. HDR content comes alive in photos, videos and games with incredible detail in shadows and vivid, true colours. Each monitor is factory calibrated and features professional reference functions for HDR color grading, photography, design and print production.

Perfect camera performance

Keeping in touch is more important than ever. That's why the new MacBook Pro camera has dual resolution (1080p) and uses a wider aperture lens that allows more light. Along with a larger image sensor that has more efficient pixels, the camera offers twice the performance in low-light conditions.

Three dimensional sound

Thanks to its six-speaker system and advanced algorithms, MacBook Pro supports room-filling sound when playing music or video with Dolby Atmos, creating a sophisticated 3D soundstage. Pair it with the Liquid Retina XDR display and it's like having a home cinema.

More connectivity than ever before

Transfer photos and videos with an SDXC card reader. Connect to TVs or monitors with HDMI output. Listen using a 3.5mm headphone jack that automatically detects and adjusts for high-impedance headphones. Connect to high-speed peripherals or displays with three Thunderbolt 4 ports. Fast charging using the MagSafe 3 quick-release port.

Since this morning. Until the next morning.

Stunning performance with game-changing battery life. That's the magic of Apple Silicon. A single charge gives you the ability to write four times as much code in Xcode or edit images for twice as long in Lightroom Classic. And unlike other notebooks, MacBook Pro delivers the same amazing performance whether it's plugged in or not.

Fast...and infinite.

Enjoy incredible 7.4 GB/s read speeds from the up to 8 TB SSD. Up to twice the speed of the previous generation. To instantly open 8K video or store hundreds of thousands of RAW photos in an instant.

Power pro meets a pro keyboard.

For the first time, Magic Keyboard brings a full-height row of function keys to MacBook Pro, with the mechanical-key feel that professionals love. It includes keyboard shortcuts for Spotlight, Promise, and Don't Bother. And Touch ID has a new, embossed finger-guide ring for quick, easy, and secure Mac unlocking.

macOS Monterey και Apple Silicon. Beauty with monstrous power.

Use a single keyboard and mouse or trackpad to work alternately on Mac and iPad with the Universal Controller. Automate complex tasks with shortcuts. Share the screen, do joint monitoring or collaborate with FaceTime. And browse with the best Safari yet. When it's time to focus, Concentrate lets you control which people and apps can communicate with you.

Thunderbolt 4

Thunderbolt 4 brings many improvements and new features to the table compared to Thunderbolt 3.

Speed. Thunderbolt 4 ports have the same 40 Gbps high-speed bandwidth as Thunderbolt 3. However, minimum PCIe data requirements have increased from 16 Gbps to 32 Gbps . This means that high-speed external PCIe devices, such as storage and external graphics, could see significant increases in transfer rates and performance.
Security. VT-d-based DMA protection helps prevent security threats by re-assigning requests from external devices and checking for appropriate permissions. Wake from sleep. This feature allows a computer to come out of sleep mode with peripherals connected via a docking base.

Wi-Fi 6

WiFi 6 gives you a smooth flow, greater range and increased capacity. Enjoy faster WiFi speeds from multiple devices at the same time.

It also gives you a 40% increase in data flow and is fully compatible with older WiFi devices.

Owner of the entire MacBook series of the last decade, the top laptop that has appeared on Earth. I can compare it to a similar Windows Laptop that I had last year worth 2,800 euros.
    1) The trackpad is the best ever designed by Apple, and as a professional, I didn't believe that I wouldn't need to use a mouse (on the go) again.
    2) They finally abolished the touch bar, which was a failure, but something tells me that they will reintroduce it in 2030 when users will be able to understand it.
    3) They finally got rid of the failed butterfly keyboard with small distances and replaced it with a decent keyboard that has perfect distances.
    4) Battery from another planet, everything at full, heavy edit work/permanently activated Spotify/screen full brightness/keyboard full brightness lasts easily for 6-7 hours.
    5) 1600 nits display, but for some reason, they have capped it at 600 nits on Earth.
And the highly anticipated 120 Hz, which is excellent, but in some cases, an experienced eye can see that it doesn't work in some applications.
    6) M1 Pro is excellent with its minor issues in applications (non-original Apple), for example, design programs require Rosita mode to run, but it is the most efficient GPU/CPU ever designed.
    7) The fan has never been heard, if I didn't see it on YouTube, I would think it doesn't exist.
Worth 3,000 euros, but it covers even the most demanding needs for five years.
(Note: the equivalent M2 Pro in Blackmagic benchmark, the disks are 25% slower than the M1 Pro, so don't rush to buy the upcoming models.)

Former owner of macbook pro 13 m1 8/256. If you want it for everyday use, browsing, etc. then go straight to the AIR with the M1 that does everything for less than half the price.
Positives: AMAZING screen, quiet, doesn't heat up, impressive sound in terms of bass. A little heavier of course than its predecessor, but always within reasonable limits. The battery is very good, but not as good as we were used to with last year's pro m1.
The only negative - if it can be considered negative - is the controversial notch on the screen.
Conclusion: If the impressive screen, unbeatable sound, and very good battery are a priority for you, then go for it. Otherwise, the two previous models, especially the macbook air m1, are currently the best value purchase.

Incredibly fast, awesome screen, doesn't heat up for any reason, and a battery that crushes the competition. Now, some people may miss the touch bar. The only minor complaint is the magsafe, which I'm not sure can save it in case of an accident.

Update 5 months later: The battery lasts less than its predecessor (M1-13' pro), and it may get slightly warmer, but regardless, it effortlessly gets through the day. The user experience remains wonderful, and the notch is no longer a concern at all. The mag safe ultimately saved it from a fall with the classic "trip over the cable and everything goes haywire" scenario.

P.S. If anyone has a phone and a watch, the level of integration between them is unbelievable, but this is probably expected.
