The quality is very good, it has a discreet leather texture. It is minimal, does not add bulk, and the plastic frame that is visible in the photos on the back is much less noticeable in reality because it is the 3 sides of the plastic "back" where the kindle attaches. Opening the case "wakes up" the kindle. The case for the Kindle Paperwhite 5 weighs 112g and the kindle weighs 205g, so it noticeably adds weight, but still, 317g is not something terrible compared to many books. It does not unbutton very easily. It does not function as a stand. Overall, though, it was much better than I expected for its cost.

Μόλις παρέλαβα το Kindle Paperwhite (11th generation) και το έβαλα στη συγκεκριμένη θήκη, την οποία είχα ήδη αγοράσει. Η θήκη είναι πολύ όμορφη, σε καλή τιμή, φαίνεται ανθεκτική (είναι από δερματίνη), εφαρμόζει τέλεια στο Kindle, διπλώνει σαν βιβλίο (κρατιέται κλειστή με μαγνητάκια) και γενικά είναι μια πολύ εύχρηστη και ελκυστική θήκη.
Θα ήταν η ιδανική θήκη για το Kindle Paperwhite (11th generation) αν δεν είχε ένα σημαντικότατο μειονέκτημα: δεν οδηγεί σωστά τον μαγνητικό αισθητήρα του Kindle για να ανοιγοκλείνει αυτόματα η συσκευή όταν ανοιγοκλείνεις τη θήκη, με αποτέλεσμα να πρέπει να πατάς τον διακόπτη on/off στο Kindle κάθε φορά που ξεκινάς/τελειώνεις το διάβασμα. Αυτό είναι τεράστιο μειονέκτημα και επέλεξα τη συγκεκριμένη θήκη επειδή ακριβώς έχει αυτή τη δυνατότητα, η οποία όμως ΔΕΝ λειτουργεί. Αν εφαρμόσω δύναμη και "στραβοκλείσω" τη θήκη, κάποιες φορές λειτουργεί ο αισθητήρας και κλείνει και το Kindle. Πιστεύω πως το πρόβλημα βρίσκεται στη θέση και στην ένταση του μαγνήτη που έχουν βάλει στο εσωτερικό της θήκης, που δεν επαρκεί για να διεγείρει τον αισθητήρα του Kindle.
Τονίζω ότι αναφέρομαι στη σταχτί-μαύρη θήκη από δερματίνη με το μηχανισμό stand εσωτερικά. Οι άλλες παραλλαγές της θήκης, που είναι πιο λεπτές και δεν έχουν τόσο όγκο, μπορεί να μην παρουσιάζουν το πρόβλημα. Πάντως αυτή που παρέλαβα έχει θέμα και το αναφέρω για να ξέρουν όσοι ψάχνουν για παρόμοια θήκη. Κρίμα, γιατί είναι πραγματικά όμορφη.

The case fits perfectly on the Kindle Paperwhite 11 (I don't know about other models but it fits perfectly here) it works on "open-close" - I don't understand why someone would have a problem with that. It simply works flawlessly! I've had it for about 2 months, so I don't know about its durability over time, but it seems to be of good quality and definitely more... expensive than its price. Good choice - after all, it's probably the only one!

In a separate compartment of the bag, I keep my Kindle and my phone. In the other compartments of the bag, I put towels, swimsuits, etc., which may contain a little sand. After 2 weeks without using it, I open it and see that sand has passed between the case and the screen and has caused some small scratches! Unbelievable. The case was closed and the Kindle unused, yet the sand managed to get in and stick between the case and the screen, and possibly with the vibrations of the bag, the scratches occurred. So be careful not to make the same mistake as me.
