  Very good lens, quality construction, not cheap plastic, fast, silent with plenty of detail even at f1.8. Very good value for money.

  The only negative so far is the lens hood, which is impossible to put on. It's frustrating and it can damage the lens color when taking it on and off. When I received it and opened the box (impeccable packaging by the company, with soft material like sound insulation), the lens hood was already attached. I tried to remove it and it required a lot of force. After taking it off and trying to put it back on, it was extremely difficult and I noticed some light marks, as mentioned above, on the lens from the hood rubbing against it, as if the color had faded and silver was showing underneath. Unfortunately, I will never put it back on again. :)

  Even the Sigma 17-50 that I had before had a somewhat strange and stubborn lens hood, but not like this thing...

  I'm including a link with samples (most of them at f1.8). The photo shown in the review is at 2.8. I'm using it on the Nikon z5.
