Description

With Apple's M1 chip designed for professionals, you get groundbreaking performance and long battery life. Add to that an exceptional Liquid Retina XDR display, the best camera and sound you've ever had on a Mac laptop, and all the ports you need.

Terrifyingly fast

The M1 Pro takes the exceptional performance of the M1 architecture to a whole new level for professional users. Even the most ambitious projects are easily handled with up to 10 CPU cores, up to 16 GPU cores, 16 Neural Engine cores, and exclusive encoders and decoders for multimedia engines that support H.264, HEVC, and ProRes encoders.

Unbeatable screen

The Liquid Retina XDR is the best display a laptop has ever had. It features Extreme Dynamic Range and a million-to-one contrast ratio. HDR content comes to life with incredible detail in shadows and vibrant, true-to-life colors in photos, videos, and games. Each display is factory calibrated and includes professional reference modes for HDR color grading, photography, design, and print production.

Ideal camera performance

Keeping in touch is more important than ever. That's why the new MacBook Pro camera has dual resolution (1080p) and uses a lens with a larger aperture that allows more light. Along with a larger image sensor that has more efficient pixels, the camera offers twice the performance in low light conditions.

3D Sound

Thanks to the six-speaker system and advanced algorithms, the MacBook Pro supports sound that fills the room when playing music or video with Dolby Atmos, creating a sophisticated three-dimensional soundstage. Combine it with the Liquid Retina XDR display and it's like having a home cinema.

Greater connectivity than ever before

Transfer photos and videos with an SDXC card reader. Connect to TVs or screens with HDMI output. Listen using a 3.5mm headphone jack that automatically detects and adjusts for high-resistance headphones. Connect to peripherals or high-speed screens with three Thunderbolt 4 ports. Fast charging using the MagSafe 3 quick release port.

Owner of the entire MacBook series of the last decade, the top laptop that has appeared on Earth. I can compare it to a similar Windows Laptop that I had last year worth 2,800 euros.
    1) The trackpad is the best ever designed by Apple, and as a professional, I didn't believe that I wouldn't need to use a mouse (on the go) again.
    2) They finally abolished the touch bar, which was a failure, but something tells me that they will reintroduce it in 2030 when users will be able to understand it.
    3) They finally got rid of the failed butterfly keyboard with small distances and replaced it with a decent keyboard that has perfect distances.
    4) Battery from another planet, everything at full, heavy edit work/permanently activated Spotify/screen full brightness/keyboard full brightness lasts easily for 6-7 hours.
    5) 1600 nits display, but for some reason, they have capped it at 600 nits on Earth.
And the highly anticipated 120 Hz, which is excellent, but in some cases, an experienced eye can see that it doesn't work in some applications.
    6) M1 Pro is excellent with its minor issues in applications (non-original Apple), for example, design programs require Rosita mode to run, but it is the most efficient GPU/CPU ever designed.
    7) The fan has never been heard, if I didn't see it on YouTube, I would think it doesn't exist.
Worth 3,000 euros, but it covers even the most demanding needs for five years.
(Note: the equivalent M2 Pro in Blackmagic benchmark, the disks are 25% slower than the M1 Pro, so don't rush to buy the upcoming models.)

The best option for professionals in the field of image and sound. Cheaper options are available for casual office/internet use.

Former owner of macbook pro 13 m1 8/256. If you want it for everyday use, browsing, etc. then go straight to the AIR with the M1 that does everything for less than half the price.
Positives: AMAZING screen, quiet, doesn't heat up, impressive sound in terms of bass. A little heavier of course than its predecessor, but always within reasonable limits. The battery is very good, but not as good as we were used to with last year's pro m1.
The only negative - if it can be considered negative - is the controversial notch on the screen.
Conclusion: If the impressive screen, unbeatable sound, and very good battery are a priority for you, then go for it. Otherwise, the two previous models, especially the macbook air m1, are currently the best value purchase.

Incredibly fast, awesome screen, doesn't heat up for any reason, and a battery that crushes the competition. Now, some people may miss the touch bar. The only minor complaint is the magsafe, which I'm not sure can save it in case of an accident.

Update 5 months later: The battery lasts less than its predecessor (M1-13' pro), and it may get slightly warmer, but regardless, it effortlessly gets through the day. The user experience remains wonderful, and the notch is no longer a concern at all. The mag safe ultimately saved it from a fall with the classic "trip over the cable and everything goes haywire" scenario.

P.S. If anyone has a phone and a watch, the level of integration between them is unbelievable, but this is probably expected.
