Very good monitor .. with vivid colors. We start from the quality of construction which is mainly plastic but at this price it is very difficult to find something better in construction! However, it is a very sturdy monitor that does not easily shake. Its blacks are at a pretty good level and the viewing angle, considering it is a VA panel, is definitely very, very good. Its curvature is not great and in my personal opinion, this is perfect. Also, its menu is user-friendly with ready profiles for several categories of games! Finally, perhaps the only negative is that it does not have a USB output, but considering that we all have computers with plenty of USB outputs, this will not be a necessary problem!!! 5 out of 5 stars from me. Very good job from Dell once again and a quite low budget for a monitor of this level!!!!
I have had the screen for 1 year and I have been completely satisfied. Nice colors and fast response. The panel's curve is small and not bothersome. It has a headphone output but does not offer microphone capability. It does not have a USB output.
I have had the monitor for 1 year now. I am very satisfied. It is worth its money, the colors are nice, very smooth, fast response, etc. However, it has 1.5 negative things. The 0.5 that someone can live with is the somewhat poor construction (a bit plastic, I would say, but definitely not something to worry about). The main negative (and the only one) is that the power cable of the monitor is difficult to insert into the corresponding port on the monitor, and if you don't put it in properly, the monitor shuts off on its own from time to time, and when you try to put it back in, you can hear the power passing through. In conclusion, for its price, it is golden, but you need to find a way to properly insert the power cable into the monitor so that it doesn't shut off and the port doesn't get damaged.
Very good screen especially for its price, suitable size for me. Just like most screens, it is not in 4K which can be noticeable and there is a difference, for example, with the laptop that shows 4K and I connect it with the screen
Initially impressive screen, but in dark themes the surface is not uniform, it has brighter areas (3 areas) at the top, which is very annoying when watching movies.
Fake construction, and definitely more tiring than the cheaper one of another well-known brand that I have (they are side by side and the difference is noticeable), in terms of quality.
Although I bought it mainly for gaming, I ended up using the other, smaller one with worse response and refresh rate, because the image is much more stable and comfortable!!
I do not recommend it, especially since suddenly while watching a movie a few days ago, the panel displayed a black vertical line, for no reason. The worrying thing is that Dell's service told me that they won't accept it for service because I broke it (they didn't even look at it closely)!!! Even though I didn't even touch it when this happened, and overall the screen has absolutely no signs of mistreatment, scratches, or any other damage!!!
So, nonexistent service (it took me 3 days to find someone to talk to), much lower quality for the cost of the screen, and I would say misleading positive comments from other users, I can't understand how no one mentions the poor build quality of the screen and how tiring it is to use!
A very good screen for its price. I'm coming from a 23" 60 fps and it's a bit difficult for me to get used to its large size, but still worth buying it.
A good screen at a budget-friendly price. It takes a little getting used to the size, coming from a 23-inch FHD IPS 60hz. Definitely smoother movement in games, especially in FPS. The curve is not too big and I got used to it immediately in this area. If it had a USB hub to connect a camera and microphone, it would be even better!
I would say that it is a top choice!!! The combination of high Hertz, resolution, and DELL quality make it one of the best, if not the best, in its category and price range.
I got it for 280 euros and it's worth every penny. I got it for Xbox series x and for general use on PC. I come from a plasma TV and the upgrade to 1440P + 120Hz (that's as far as the Xbox goes) is huge. Restful with vivid color and deep black. Excellent tool.
Very good screen, very nice colors, seems to be of good build quality. I think there was no competition at its price (QHD, Curved, 165Hz), especially from a reputable brand. There are clearly much better options in other price categories. I bought it in late November 22 for €259 and it was worth every euro. Now at €320+ it requires a little research. It does have a slight burnt plastic smell and after over 2 months of daily use, it hasn't completely gone away (you can notice it if you get very close).
So, let's get to it. I had been eyeing this particular monitor for quite some time and was torn between getting an IPS or VA curved one. In the end, I went with this one due to its price and positive reviews here and on rtings.
To mention the few negatives, there is some backlight bleed which is minimal and only noticeable on an absolute black screen, so it doesn't bother me personally. Secondly, the viewing angle is subjective as most of us sit directly in front of our screens, but even a second person can see just fine. The image may appear slightly washed out, but it's not a big deal. Thirdly, there is some ghosting when scrolling on a black background with white text, which can be reduced by increasing the response time and decreasing the Hz (I have it set to super fast and 144Hz).
Moving on, the monitor is a sight to behold. Coming from a decade-old 24-inch monitor (the vertical one in the photo), it's like night and day. The resolution is truly the best and I believe the sweet spot is at 27 inches. The colors are vivid and vibrant with very decent blacks, as well as the contrast of the image. It's also recommended for media consumption besides gaming. Additionally, the brightness is beyond satisfactory, and personally, it never goes above 60% in my room (I don't have any direct sunlight, so I don't know about those situations). The curvature of the screen, I must emphasize, is immediately accustomed to and really, if you're not too far away, it does give a little immersion to the game. Finally, it has a sturdy construction, easy assembly out of the box, a stable base, and the screen moves vertically and tilts up and down. It doesn't rotate right or left, so you have to turn it with the base. Lastly, there is a discreet blue LED light at the bottom of the screen, which is a very nice touch.
I bought it for 270 from WebS.... It's a very good choice and I think it covers most gamers. If you want to go for full competitive FPS gaming, look for IPS ones where the prices are higher for 2K resolution. Happy shopping!
Very good screen, good ergonomics in terms of height and front-back adjustment, fast response in games at 165 Hz, comfortable with beautiful image and at an affordable price from a reputable brand. I consider it a very worthwhile purchase... EDIT 26-11-2023: (After one year... it continues to work flawlessly for 12-15 hours daily... without experiencing any issues or losing any of its initial characteristics...)
I want to clarify that I've had it for 2 days! The monitor is value for money. Perhaps the most honest Qhd for its price. I got it for work on my PC but also for gaming on my Xbox. Fully satisfied except for one issue. In gaming, I have brightness at 100%, contrast at 80-85%, and extreme ghosting. The screen slightly heats up and smells like plastic as time passes, which is unhealthy to inhale and causes me to stop using it due to the strong odor. I hope it's something temporary, otherwise, I will return it.
Starting with the negatives,
1) I noticed minimal backlight bleed in the corners, which is only noticeable in black. 2) There is the phenomenon of ghosting in objects that move on dark surfaces (as expected in all VA panels, I imagine), but it can be minimized by increasing the contrast and setting the response time to extreme. You can see an improvement if you reduce the Hz a bit.
3) Viewing from an angle is not recommended, as with all curved monitors (also expected), but it doesn't affect me much since it's intended for personal use and is permanently in front of me.
I come from a 60Hz 1080p TN panel and the difference is huge, both in the refresh rate that I expected, but also in the resolution that really surprised me.
The color quality is amazing and the blacks are deep, which is pleasant to the eye even in a dark room.
The response time is incredibly fast for VA panels at 2ms gtg.
The base is sturdy and allows the screen to be moved both right, left, up and down, making it easy to adjust to any possible position one may want.
Finally, it has high brightness and a contrast ratio of 3000:1, which allows it to be used not only for gaming but also for watching movies/series.
Conclusion: For its price, the 165Hz, 2k resolution, 27", and 2ms response time are features that make it an excellent value for money choice.
Just make sure before buying it that you have a good enough graphics card to support games in 2k resolution and 165hz at the same time. If you want casual gaming use, but also video/movie viewing, then it's the ideal choice for you. But if you're looking for something for competitive FPS games, then it's better to look for a monitor with IPS panel technology for even faster response time and to avoid ghosting.
