This book is not a scientific, psychological textbook. It is an informative, advisory guide inspired by my personal experiences and educational studies. It is addressed to anyone who has gone through or is going through a separation or divorce.
I decided to write it in order to convey to whoever reads it what I have learned through my work and through my own traumatic and non-traumatic experiences, to alleviate the pain of others through its pages if I can. My wish is to make every reader reflect on what they have learned from their own similar experiences and to help them transform them into knowledge and consequently into strength. Because knowledge is power as it contains understanding within it.

Understanding is a big word, because when we understand a situation it means that we have analyzed it to such an extent that we have made it our own and have come to terms with it. We have found our way and this gives us the strength to move forward. That's why I say that knowledge is power, not because we have finished university and maybe make more money. I'm not referring to that.
I'm referring to knowledge as a mental and intellectual cultivation that contains many things within it, one of the most important being forgiveness. Another big word, easy to offer, difficult to offer.
This book is written with simplicity and honesty. I share with you an important part of my life, my relationship with a man I loved, married, divorced, forgave, was forgiven by, and overcame. I pass on my knowledge to you, my readers.
