I will compare it to FIFA 20 since I hadn't bought FIFA 21. The changes are significant and positive. The graphics have noticeable improvement in all areas. The gameplay has improved. Someone coming from FIFA 20 and going to FIFA 22 will notice it immediately. Player controls, expressions, etc. have come one step closer to reality. The career mode has many changes for the better, but they can still be improved. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. Firstly, I consider the price too high since the PS5 has been released. Secondly, I don't really like the change in the game menu, but these are personal preferences. If you come from FIFA 20, I recommend getting it without hesitation, but since the price is steep, anyone who wants can wait until Christmas.

I made the mistake of giving it as a gift to my husband (like all the previous ones). To spend so many hours on it, I imagine it must be quite interesting... the graphics are excellent (we even confused grandpa and he was asking who those people playing today are). Every new FIFA is an "upgrade" of players and graphics. I never understood why we have to get the new ones, since they all seem the same to me !!! :)
Classically every FIFA and worse. Bugs, scripted to God. It favors classically the players it wants and those who have put money into the game. Easily the worst FIFA I have ever played, perhaps even the worst one ever released. You feel like the passes are specifically designed to never reach their target under any circumstances. The defensive AI is terrible. To beat a goalkeeper in a one-on-one situation, you have to perform miracles. Honestly, I want to know if they intentionally made it bad, because this can't happen by accident.
As it goes, it gets worse. Bad steals, bad defenses, bad shooting, bad passes. Your online experience is frustrating, it's more a matter of luck than strategy. If the opponent knows how to do tricks, they can score against you with just one player. FIFA 18, which was the first one I played in terms of gameplay, is much better. Apart from that, it has good menu, sound, and graphics. Also, you can create exactly the club you like. It's not worth its money and I hope it's the last FIFA that comes out.
It is a very nice game but the truth is that you don't see significant differences from the previous ones. It's like playing on autopilot due to the competition's superiority. That is, in terms of graphics, you won't see a huge difference. One positive aspect is Volta Football, which is very interesting. I give it 4 stars because I simply compare it to itself and not to the rest of the competition, where it easily wins. The latest FIFA with EA and from next year it will probably be released as EA Football 2023.

Without having played FIFA 20/21 and while I quite liked 19, I can say that FIFA 22 is downright bad. Legacy defending no longer works properly. In online matches, the passes are the worst I have ever seen. The chances of the ball going where you want it are 50/50. Also, you can't score one-on-one for any reason. You have more chances of scoring a goal outside the box than within one meter of the goal. And finally, there are many connection problems resulting in significant lag while playing. The graphics are slightly improved compared to previous games.
The same over and over again!! It's not possible to just change the name of the game every year and slightly improve the graphics. It's not your fault, it's our fault for giving you money like sheep for cards that we'll have to buy again next year!! It's 2022 and we're still asking you to fix the bugs. I have been playing the game for 3 months, so I have a complete picture... New teams, both Greek and from other countries, have been added, the graphics have changed a lot, the sound, etc... It has become much more realistic than other fifa games. In matches, goals are scored from long range, some are saved by goalkeepers from close range, and it has become fully realistic when playing in competitions like the Europa League, UEFA Champions League, etc... You feel a lot of realism, along with the fans in the stadium. In career mode, you can start a career as a manager or your own player. I chose to be a manager and it is the most realistic option. You can play with Greek teams in the English, German, and other leagues. And with the money you have, you can buy any player you want, but it also depends on the money, meaning if you want Mbappe, it definitely costs over 100 million, and generally for high-level players... In career mode with your own player, you play for a team and other teams can request you and you can go there and thus increase your level and fame... Then you don't get bored and try to take your own player higher. In Pro Clubs, I really liked it because I play with my friends in matches against other teams and we can choose our own position in the starting eleven. Then you can promote your team to a higher division and from there you can also increase your player's rating by leveling up... Also, the stadiums, players, goalposts, sound, goalkeepers, everything has changed, and overall, FIFA 22 is not boring at all and you can enjoy your time. These are my recommendations without reservation!
I bought Fifa 22 for the Ps4 Pro because after many years I was disappointed with the evolution of Pro Evolution (eFootball on PC). Fifa is a "polished" soccer game with an "arcade" setup on the playing field, player movement, etc. Nice graphics. Excellent sound and commentary. The rosters are complete. The menu is not complicated but still gets tiring at times. The career mode is enjoyable. A game to have a good time and play with friends without needing to struggle too much. I give it 5 stars because it is well-made and provides a complete experience.
It's not perfect but it's not bad either. It's good to pass the time. I haven't been excited since FIFA 17, which for me was a perfect game. I bought it for 18.90 € on sale. I wouldn't even consider paying 50-60€ for it.

Based on the Fifa 20 I played, it is 1-2 classes better. Better and more robust gameplay, nice spectacular goals from long range, good player movement. The game struggles in defense, where it is still difficult to mark correctly and there is an issue with changing defensive players, resulting in some marking being lost and easier goals being conceded. Also, the graphics have not significantly improved and on my PS4 slim they look similar to 2018-2019. Overall, it is worth as a game, but not more than 15-20€ (I got it for 18€ from the store).

Okay, quite a decent game (of course not for its price). It's very good for when you have company or play online with friends. The single player, when you put it on world class or legendary, starts to annoy you a little bit, but overall it will almost make you laugh. I suggest waiting for the price to drop because clearly it's not worth the 50 euros I paid
Unacceptable gameplay, to play a career match now and play amazing football, winning 5-0 and conceding goals, unacceptable! It can't be so tragic! Many things need improvement, in 2022 and beyond there is no reliable football game! Truly sad!

Quite good after a while. I am mainly referring to the single player, as I am not interested in online. The gameplay definitely has some differences compared to the previous one. While the career mode remains the same. With the appropriate settings in the game sliders, the game becomes quite realistic.
The most pleasant thing is that you can't play from 6 to 11+ because even though EA makes a lot of money, it doesn't want to improve its servers! Oh, and the best thing is that Weekend League is only available in the morning! Oh, and it plays just fine even when it's not online.

Negatives: it has such a large menu of games that you need a whole lifetime to play them all. If you play against a relatively good opponent, they can pass your team even with just one player. In general, to play FIFA, you need to learn tricks. And in the previous one, there were other things that happen here that surpasses any imagination and in the end, it ceases to be football.
It is a shame to see such a well-crafted franchise go down like this, but unfortunately, the excessive microtransactions and special money-grab events ruin the game. EA simply cares about money, not the players. If you are a free-to-play player, I'm sorry, but this game is not for you. The multiplayer is terribly bad, and overall, the game is a disaster. The only positive aspects are the sound and graphics. It truly hurts my heart to see such a good franchise falling apart.
I have been playing FIFA since 1997 (I still have the disc and my Olivetti computer), not every annual edition, usually I change every 3-4 years. I play '22 on PS4. I don't play Ultimate, personally I don't understand it, I mean I don't see a reason to play Ultimate, nevertheless I mention it because my review does not include Ultimate. I play career mode as a coach, player career, classic championship, mainly career mode as a coach and I play the matches myself (not simulating). Mainly on World Class difficulty and a little bit on Legendary, so I'm not a skilled player with a lot of tricks, nor a professional, I play to enjoy the game but I want it to be challenging. The positives. I feel the game is very realistic, the pace is not fast but I can't say it's slow, it gives and offers realism. The defense needs work, I mean it needs practice especially for someone who has never played or hasn't played for many years. The attack can be done in many ways (tiki taka, long passes, etc.) and goals can be scored from anywhere as long as there is knowledge and practice. Many people mention that through passes don't work, yes it has become more difficult, they pass more easily with L1 and square, either for through passes or for passing into space, etc., because this way the ball reaches the player and the opponents lose it, of course the same happens in reverse. Incredible passes and shots, especially shots with spin, backheels, etc., also an evolution and something that adds to the realism. Tactics are very important as they affect every match, while at the same time each player's style of play also affects the match. Definitely in some matches different tactics should be used, different formations, but also the style of play should change even a little. This if we want results, if we don't care then okay, just play and one of the weaker teams may come and score 3 goals against me in 3 consecutive matches, for example. I feel that I can't get bored of the game at all, the matches offer intensity, suspense, and they are not all the same, not at all. These are all the positives for me. As for the negatives, I personally find only one. The graphics. They are not bad or ugly, on the contrary, they are just a bit lacking in 2022. The company is known for this aspect, they develop the graphics very slowly, gradually. On one hand, I understand it because graphics cost both in terms of cost and space, on the other hand, okay they could have done a little more, I'm not saying they should have been as they should be for 2022, but okay. For me, it is the best FIFA that has been released, it is worth it because it offers me realism like never before, and I don't get bored of it and it doesn't show any signs that would make me bored like other FIFAs. I am disappointed. Out of all the exclusives of the ps4 this month, the Best seller is this old game. Similar in almost all areas to the previous one. Not to mention the gameplay, it's the worst. As soon as you go to get free cards, it gives you the worst. I do not recommend it (maybe the graphics make up for it a little)
The worst FIFA ever, vertical passes never go through, neither do crosses. It's better to buy NBA 2K22, which costs less and is worth more than this FIFA
First time I evaluate a product having played only 2 matches! I just want to do it because I already fully disagree with people who write that it is the same as 21! The changes are noticeable from the get-go, both in graphics and gameplay, for the much better! I was very disappointed with 21 compared to 20, but 22 already seems miles ahead of 21!
One star and a lot is his. Exactly the same as FIFA 21, not to mention FIFA 20. For a company that made 1.6 billion from FIFA Ultimate Team ALONE in 2020, they sell the same game for 70/80 euros. Not that it doesn't deserve it, but since it's identical to the previous two, things change.
