To make some fries and quick meals, it's okay due to the size. I expected it to be larger, but in the end, the 4 liters do not refer to the inner basket but rather to the outer bucket, which is underutilized. The inner basket has dimensions of approximately 19x18x9 cm, which is about 3 liters. Quality construction. Good non-stick surfaces and easy to clean. Analog rotating switches without unnecessary "programs" and touch screens that break easily. For 3 people, 4-5 medium potatoes require 2 12-minute cycles, and they turn out very tasty. Not dry, a bit crispy as they should be. If I were to buy again, I would probably get something larger.
I decided to change my air fryer because my old 2.5-liter home vero fryer was not enough for me and I wanted a slightly larger one. So I chose this one because I thought that going from 2.5 to 4.1 liters would give me much more space. Oh no... if you put them side by side, they are almost the same. So I decided to measure it and it turns out it has a volume of 2.75 liters instead of 4.1. I'm disappointed. I haven't even tried it yet, but I'm thinking of returning it because it doesn't meet the reason I bought it for
Guys, I tried it for burgers and it was really juicy and slightly crispy as it should be. I recommend it, for its price it is sufficient, the basket is at least for 2 people.
I bought it as a student and it's simply perfect. It doesn't need preheating, it cooks everything, from cakes, savory dishes, breaded chicken, potatoes, and everything very quickly and without oil. The grill can be removed to place molds for cakes or anything else. It's the best for one or two people.
I have no experience with others, but if I have to suggest something, it is to get something bigger if you are not single. Generally, I have no complaints, that's why I give it a 4, but for two people it is a bit inconvenient.
The fryer is very good, quality like most Philips products. I found it at an excellent price reduction and that's why I bought it immediately. If I had to choose now, I would prefer a fryer with electronic indicators instead of manual ones, and of course, I would choose one with a larger basket capacity. This does not mean that this specific one lacks anything. It cooks the food just fine and quite quickly, I would say. My only complaint is that they don't include the baking tray and the small grill in the price, and you have to buy them separately, which of course, their price is exorbitant since they are genuine Philips accessories...
I bought the fryer for 100 euros. It has a 4-liter capacity and is around 1kW. Its performance:
1. In fried foods (potatoes, nuggets) as well as standardized products such as sausages, bacon, and burgers, it takes 10-15 minutes without any oil.
2. It reheats food (e.g. chicken leg or burger) in 3-5 minutes.
3. Pizza, toast, or pastries in 1-2 minutes.
It is a more economical appliance than a traditional pan or fryer and has better results than a microwave because it heats evenly and removes a lot of moisture and odors.
I recommend it for all uses, but especially for all these small heating tasks. Additionally, it is quiet, easy to clean in a dishwasher, and you can find genuine and cheap spare parts if needed. The basket has a Teflon coating, so it should not be scratched during washing as it will damage it.
The truth is that it is user-friendly, fast, and cooks healthy BUT... you cannot cook for more than two people. For example, with fried potatoes, you have to fry them handful by handful to make them crispy. The first time I tried, I put two handfuls of potatoes and all the ones at the bottom came out completely raw, while the ones on top came out burnt even though I mixed them. I would recommend it and I would suggest it for 1 or 2 people on a strict diet who are satisfied with a handful of potatoes each.
It is very good for its price. I don't need to comment on the potatoes. What surprised me was how well it grills burgers and meatballs. It doesn't have the features of Xiaomi with wifi, etc. However, it is a very good quality and affordable solution.
