Clear sound! I have not tried it for any party so far. For light cases like dinner or relaxing, it has perfect sound quality. If you need a wi-fi speaker just for low volume cases (with people being able to talk to each other, etc.), then you can probably buy a cheaper one with e.g. 20 W.
It has been a month since I bought it. The sound is good for its size. Don't expect amazing things. The battery doesn't last 20 hours as some say. It lasts around 12 hours. The bass is decent. Not exaggerating, but with other speakers of friends, it is much better.

The speaker I can clearly say is very good. Especially for the price I bought it for, €100, I believe it is worth it and definitely should be the first choice when someone is looking for a good portable speaker. In a few words, it is the best in its category. For someone who wants to upgrade from a flip model of JBL, they don't need to think about anything, just buy the Charge (as far as sound is concerned). On the contrary, its bigger sibling is not worth it, especially for its price, as the differences between the Charge 5 and the Extreme 3 are minimal. Initially, the volume doesn't have a huge difference and the bass of the Charge 5 can be heard even at low volumes and is better. Its battery is simply incredible, I have been using it for many days and it doesn't decrease at all. Whoever is interested in a speaker, it is the best choice, especially if you find it on sale
Very good sound quality, you can really throw a party without needing it louder. If you care about quality and not just volume, this is the one. As for the battery, it lasted all day at the beach and saved me
Predecessor of the JBL Charge 3. Quite good with nice sound quality, the only negative is that it lowers the bass at maximum volume. Also, when I put it in Low Frequency mode, the speaker froze. I believe that the upgrade from Charge 3 to Charge 5 was not worth it!
Plays quite loud, in a more enclosed space like the bathroom it kills it.

Awesome speaker, perfect for summer vacations. It doesn't mind water and dust. I took it in a hot tub, on sandy beaches, and in pools. You don't have to worry about it at all. It has great battery life and can also be used as a power bank in case of emergency (only through the USB port). Now that the vacations are over, it decorates the living room and provides powerful sound and bass. The JBL Party works with specific JBL latest generation devices. I tried it with a friend who had the same one. Very easy connection (just press the connect button on each one and they connect automatically). It's nice to connect two of them because you get stereo sound. I don't think it's worth getting two just to connect them, but if you have friends who also have them and you connect them, you can have a real party (tested during a barbecue and in the pool).It is portable and it is very strong.Top materials.Worth every cent.The color is awesome !! Better than the photos.

I have no experience in the field of sound and portable speakers. As an average user, I believe it is worth every last cent. It is a well-built device with amazing sound and powerful bass. The only negative is that you need a backpack for transportation, but for the sound that such a small object produces, it compensates and erases its only flaw. I would definitely buy it again.
It is beautiful and the bronze color is very nice. The sound is not as good as I expected, without meaning that I expected miracles from a portable speaker. If sound quality is very important to you, do not buy it.

Maybe I was a bit harsh. The sound is not bad. It's not great either. It does its job. And it is quite loud in db.
At 160€, the JBL Charge 5 plays ball on its own with a 30-watt woofer, two passive radiators, and a 10-watt tweeter. The sound is bass-heavy and dynamic, and you can customize it to your liking with the JBL app.

I ended up choosing this based on reviews because I was interested in the intensity and bass.
The build quality is excellent.
The negatives are its size and weight.
It definitely isn't very easy for daily transportation, but it depends on what you want.
If you want a stronger sound and bass, you will have to carry something slightly bigger.

3 stars only for the quality and clear sound and satisfactory bass! It hasn't even been a year and it has already given me the following issues: let me clarify that I bought it on sale from a big retail chain for 200€->160€, so I'll start by saying that in this particular one I have, the battery is useless and doesn't last even 3 hours at full volume. And I continue by saying that after I took it to the service center (to check if the battery is faulty), the charging became a nightmare! It doesn't recognize genuine and good Xiaomi chargers of 33w, while BEFORE the service center, it recognized and charged with all of them perfectly fine! Now, with the Xiaomi charger, the battery indicator on the speaker keeps blinking without actually charging the speaker's battery!!! I REPEAT, THIS IS WHAT MY SPEAKER DOES, IT MAY BE A DEFECTIVE DEVICE!

I decided to open the speaker since I know about these things, so I opened the cover and to my surprise, I saw that it had been opened at the service center, and I saw this because I noticed the DAMAGED screws on the battery cover, which means they didn't handle them properly anyway, I unscrewed the screws from the part where the charger goes and I shook a flex cable, OOPS, it charges normally!!! So, avoid the SERVICE CENTER! If you encounter a faulty device (basically a faulty battery), wait for the warranty to expire and buy a battery for 50€ with 10,000mAh and give the speaker to a TRUSTED technician (NOTE THAT YOU LOSE WATERPROOFING) to replace it, and theoretically, you have a new speaker for another 2-3 years!!! That's my overall experience with this speaker, it's mediocre, AND THE SPEAKER IS 40W, not 30 as Skroutz says!
I had the 3 for many years, incredibly high quality with almost flat sound. So, I expected the 5 to be better in every way, but I was disappointed. Firstly, it doesn't have a jack, it's mono, and it's heavy. The sound is worse, with a V-shaped emphasis on bass and highs, burying the mids which are the most important. To my ears, it was tiring to listen to. If it was priced at 100-120 euros, I would say it's okay. However, for less money, you can get the Sony XG300 which is much more powerful, has a better battery, a jack, is stereo, has LED lights, a better Android app, LDac, Bluetooth 5.2, and you can watch movies without audio delay. Additionally, the Sony has a more audiophile sound, warm with less bass and highs (although these can be adjusted with EQ) and it's present in both.

For its price, it's a good choice. The battery definitely doesn't last 20 hours, but much less. I expected the maximum volume to impress me, but it's just satisfactory. The bass is adjustable from the app and it's good, but not impressive. As a device, it's beautiful and lightweight. Surely, with so much money, you can't have something better. I just expected something more original for 40W and the JBL brand.
It connected easily and when I played music, I was blown away by how loud it was for its size! Quality construction with beautiful buttons, I highly recommend it.
I've had it for about a month now and I have to say I'm very satisfied. I bought it for €199. It has a very powerful sound and when someone puts it on the floor with the bass towards the corner, you feel like there's an earthquake happening even at 50% volume. (perfect for parties, but I would recommend having at least one more if you really want to use it for parties, so the sound is better distributed in the space you're in). I listen to a lot of music on it and the battery life is very good. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge and the battery lasts for 4-5 days if you listen to at least 2-3 hours a day.
