If you are looking for a small-sized device, commonly not holding a "brick" in your hand, the S21 is your choice! Its screen is excellent, the quality of photos and videos is very good, and the sound, having tried many devices, is on another level! The battery is not one of its strong points, but it will definitely not disappoint you. I also tried the S22 for a short period last summer and I generally consider the S21 superior, smoother in operation and without lags. The call quality is excellent and VoWifi and VoLTE work perfectly (I have Cosmote). The mobile is very fast, high-quality, and visually beautiful (personal opinion, of course). I highly recommend it!
I will not mention the positives, as we all more or less know them, and they are also expected due to the high-end price. I will talk about the negatives that surprised me. I come from the Samsung S8, which I was completely satisfied with, so when it was time to change it, I went straight to Samsung again.
Well, the S21 has a big problem with overheating.
As soon as spring came and the weather started to get warmer, the phone started freezing. The mobile can only be used in the shade. If you are in the sun, at best the screen will lag, and at worst, it will lock at a very low brightness for "protection against overheating," resulting in not being able to see anything and practically rendering the phone useless.
Forget about lounging in the sun during the summer while surfing with your phone!
I am forced to carry my S8 with me to do my work. What's the point of having a super bright screen in the shade if you need brightness in the sun, where it is worse than the S8!
Maybe in colder countries, they don't have this problem, but for Greece, this phone is not suitable.
Another negative is with the camera, the photos come out overly processed. They are perfect for Instagram, but they do not represent reality. Especially in low light conditions, they have a very intense sharpening (haloing that creates an artificial look).
Very disappointing, I considered Samsung to be top-notch, but I would return it if I could.
Well of course I got it second hand, I'm not going to pay more than 250 for a phone. I got it for 180 euros with 2 cases and genuine glass in excellent condition. I've had it for 5 months, it's a great phone, my only complaints are the battery barely lasts a day with normal use, not games, and the fingerprint on the screen is very annoying. Also, the 8K doesn't work, it should have at least 30fps. Overall, a very nice phone and definitely not at the prices they ask for it
I bought it for 650€ without the charger! It arrived with a small screen crack from the factory! It's a half-centimeter crack, but I didn't return it. Generally, the quality decreases as the price increases. Cheap plastics, it heats up to the point where you can fry an egg on it, I'm not talking about simple heating. After heating, you know, the destruction begins, freezing, etc.
They removed the Snapdragon processor and replaced it with the inferior Exynos! When I asked them why they made this mistake, they told me it's because I'm EUROPEAN!!!!!!!!! We Europeans get the Exynos processors! Ok, so do you know what the best punishment for them is? Keep the phone for 10 years and don't replace it, so they won't have a single sale for 10 years. Or go for another brand besides Samsung.
UPDATE: THE PHONE IS SLOW WHEN TYPING MESSAGES (SMS, INSTAGRAM, MESSENGER). THE CAMERA IS MESSED UP, I GO TO TAKE A PICTURE AND I SEE THE POINT I WAS AIMING AT 5 SECONDS AGO. I GO TO CHARGE IT AND IT TELLS ME THAT THE BATTERY IS COLD (IN SUMMER) SO SLOW CHARGING WILL BE ACTIVATED! AND OTHER SUCH ANNOYANCES. HOWEVER, I WILL KEEP IT FOR 10 YEARS AS A PUNISHMENT TO SAMSUNG BECAUSE THEY ARE PROBABLY TRYING TO FORCE ME TO CHANGE MY PHONE THROUGH SOFTWARE... OH NO.... OH NO.... EVEN IF THEY TRY TO FORCE ME, I WON'T GET A SAMSUNG UNLESS 10 YEARS PASS
If you find it for under 500 euros, it's worth it and it has all the positives they advertise, so I won't analyze the positives, only the negatives:
- It's not suitable for demanding games (e.g. Genshin Impact) because in Europe, the S21 has the Exynos 2100 processor instead of the Snapdragon 888 that the exact same phone has in America and Asia (I think). The Exynos starts strong and has the same performance as the Snapdragon for a few minutes, but quickly heats up and lowers the speed (and the FPS suffer as a result). For simpler games (Pokemon Go), it's comfortable, no problem.
- The battery is not bad, just if you have it on all day, you will need a small charge to last 12 hours.
After 3 years of use, I have to say that it is the only mobile phone that I have kept for so many years in my possession. It is flawless in everything: photo quality, call quality, Bluetooth connection, video, sound, gaming, screen, design, and battery. It has nothing to envy from the iPhone series. I highly recommend it, especially at this price!
The device heats up with simple use, only the first year it was functioning properly. After a few updates, as always, its performance started to decline and it began to heat up.
The only thing worth mentioning is its size and screen.
The phone is a gem, except for the battery that doesn't last a whole day with wifi, data, social, etc. It's fast as a mobile in all the applications I use, and don't even get me started on the camera, the photos come out incredibly clear, especially the videos. Overall, it's a nice phone but it's expensive when each series first comes out.
After approximately 9 months of use, and having already ordered a new phone, I state:
• The battery, with normal use (mainly social media and YouTube), does not last more than 15-17 hours.
• The camera is okay, nothing special.
• It freezes quite often, without being "overloaded", the screen goes black and restarts.
• When I am on a call with the speaker on, the other person cannot hear clearly and loudly, and my own sound is heard either from the speaker at the bottom of the phone or from the speaker at the top (as if I don't have the speaker on).
In short, for no reason value for money. I regret choosing it.
As a primary function, it is a telephone, as soon as it closed, it started rebooting on its own and asking for codes to unlock.
If for 750 euros plus cases and very limited usage, you can't make calls, meaning you have to keep the phone charging all night because you have to work to pay for it, and it doesn't let you make simple calls...
Battery disappointment.
I sent it for service and I will come back, but Samsung probably lost me as a customer.
The s9+ I had, after 2 specific upgrades, stopped sending messages. Otherwise, if I hadn't broken the screen, I would still have it. The s20 was a disappointment according to friends.
Years Samsung......The worst thing there is in terms of battery....I run with me powerbank and cables!!!
I am only 24 hours using the mobile... The truth is that I was torn between the iPhone 12 and the S21 coming from Xiaomi, which came out in 9 months... experience so far:
Battery: I did the first charge last night and used it a little before going to sleep, and 24 hours later it is at 26% with a lot of use today on YouTube videos.
Video/photo: I don't have a specific opinion yet, but they seem to have very good resolution, except that when I first took a video at 60fhd before the update, it seemed to freeze, but then it went away, maybe it was because the update had not been done.
Calls: Now they can hear me from a distance on speakerphone, and overall the sound is very loud, the speakers are very good.
Games: I haven't played any yet to know how it performs, I'm not much of a gamer.
I have made battery settings for saving and black mode, and I believe that the battery will be fine this way, it just needs help and time to learn your usage to save power.
I like the brightness of the screen, the colors in general, it runs fast, hopefully it will continue like this.
I will give it a 5-star rating if and only if it continues to be this good for the usage I do and my personal initial experience, I believe it is a very good mobile.
If it holds up over time, it is definitely worth its money for me!
Being the owner of 5 previous S series mobile phones, it is the first time that I will rate it below 4 stars. The Exynos SUCKS. It drains the battery. I have this phone fully loaded, but it doesn't explain such performance for a flagship. Having the S20 with Snapdragon from Taiwan has no comparison!!! When Snapdragon is used again in Europe, maybe I will go back to Samsung.
On the positive side, the camera is great, the screen is amazing, and the design is as expected from Samsung. But that's about it!

Quite fast mobile, never freezes, very good photo quality, powerful speaker for calls, very good screen. The battery should have been better, I wonder why they haven't improved its duration through an update for 1.5 years, it definitely needs 1 charge per day (fortunately, this is achieved incredibly fast with the extremely fast charging). Typical build quality regarding the back cover and frame (previous S models were better in terms of quality). Also, occasionally I have an issue with the fingerprint sensor, every 4-5 days it fails to recognize it 8/10 times and rarely recognizes it, it needs to be disabled and re-added.
4 months with the mobile, overall everything is good, except for mediocre battery performance and poor behavior of the fingerprint sensor. It rarely recognizes the right finger, more often the left one, but even that started to ignore it gradually. Continuous fingerprint removal is not a solution, nor is doing a factory reset in hopes of it getting better. It is very frustrating to deal with this every day, unlocking the screen dozens of times, using the fingerprint in so many applications, and it is unacceptable for it to fail.
9 months with the mobile, the battery remains tragic (no patch improves the problem) and the issue with the fingerprint sensor of the right hand remains. I added an extra fingerprint (3rd), so if it doesn't recognize the 1st one for the right finger, it attempts to recognize the 3rd one. And yet, there are days when it gets stuck and doesn't read it at all, even if it recognized it 5 minutes earlier. Even the factory reset didn't do anything to solve the problem.
For those who want a small mobile, I believe this is the best so far without competition. In purple, it's beautiful. Coming from S10 S20. Excellent camera. The watch4 with the buds together is simply top-notch. The combination is worth it. The screen is also top-notch. Known for Samsung. At some point, I decided to uninstall anything from meta and cut off Google stories running in the background. Result. Double battery life. Try it. You won't believe it. It's also good to schedule a restart every night, as Samsung suggests when you sleep. It deletes junk. If someone knows and deals with this model, it works wonders. 5 stars.
Extremely fast and of very good quality photos, even in low light or nighttime. I use it a lot (it's a work tool) and the battery lasts about 1.5 days.
During use, it frequently freezes. When recording videos with loud music, the sound scratches and the quality is terrible. The most serious issue of all is that the battery only lasts a few hours, resulting in having to carry a Powerbank with it. I'm sorry for Samsung and the 700 euros I wasted.
I'm coming back after 11 months of use.

What I don't like (and it seems that Samsung improved it in the s22 through the Armor aluminum frame with tougher drop and scratch resistance that they advertise) is that the aluminum frame is very sensitive... for a user like me who doesn't like cases and screen protectors... it means that I will have to tolerate all these small scratches that occur every time the phone touches something...
The screen without a screen protector for 11 months... terrible... maybe a few very light scratches...
The back has melted at the bottom point where the phone rests first when you place it somewhere due to the angle created with the camera...

I had the s10 and I was very satisfied.
Now I have the s21. I use it strictly for work. I have 5,500 photos, 1,500 videos, and some games that I like.
The phone doesn't lag at all, it has a good battery, and the camera takes pictures from another planet. Don't charge your phones with any chargers. It is the Alpha and the Omega.
After spending 700€ - 900€ to buy a good mobile phone, either Samsung or iPhone, spend 40€ to buy the charger with the right specifications and the right milliampere.
I have had the s10 for 4 years and it still works like new.
I would buy the engine again, of course!! Very nice screen resolution.. Ideal size for the hand and a large clear screen without a frame around it and comfortable to handle.. Photos and videos are okay, very good.. The battery lasts me 2 days.. Beautiful mobile phone!!! This is the first review I am writing for anything on skroutz, and the reason I am writing it is because the phone did not leave me any other choice. We are talking about a disgusting overvalue. I don't know if I got a defective device or sth but really 749€ that I got it on sale this summer is not worth it in any case. It was a mid-range device personally for me, as it has many flaws that make the user experience exclude the feeling of a flagship or an expensive phone. It freezes like the touch doesn't work, and this doesn't fix even if I close and reopen the screen many times. The brightness in the sun is mediocre to the point where even though the bar is full, it drops on its own to a level where you are blinded to see, without giving you the option to raise it as the bar remains full. Sometimes it freezes with the data. The battery is average. Clearly the camera is satisfactory as well as the screen refresh rate, but they are not enough to compensate for the rest it lacks. I believe that the p30 pro I had before was a much more complete device - flagship.

Coming from iOS, I can say that it doesn't lack in camera quality, as some say.
The only negative thing I find is the battery life, which I expected to be better, but overall, I am very satisfied!

Coming from an iPhone, I was afraid but it proved me wrong from the first hour.
I won't say much, I bought it 2 months ago and it hasn't frozen even once. It's very fast and as for its battery, it easily lasts a day, although it does need to be charged every night. At its current price, it's definitely worth it and more.
Coming from the iPhone 13 Pro, I switched to the S21 and I don't regret it. I'll speak quickly because the others have already said it all. The cameras are better, especially in low light, you'll notice it. The only thing it has to envy from the iPhone is the video. The battery is heavy, it lasts all day and that's where it wins. The screen is amazing, very fast with a smooth menu, the best skin on Android. I think Samsung has achieved the iOS of Android, smooth with many features and no ads (like Xiaomi).
The phone for the money it costs is not what it should be. On the positive side, its performance is definitely good, although sometimes it "freezes", but the battery life and its camera disappointed me.
Generally, I have been using my mobile phones for many years and have been an iPhone user for many years. I have had the 6s plus since '16 and my husband convinced me to switch to the ''right path'', as he says, and leave Apple. So, he gifted me a Samsung for New Year's. The cultural shock due to the difference in technology is huge... of course, with that money, you can get an iPhone from '19. The big downside is that there are no nice cases...

I can still say that I haven't gotten used to the difference between iOS and Android. The screen doesn't light up with notifications, only some make a sound, so if I don't see the notification, I forget about it. In non-important applications where I don't want notifications active, it keeps them on top, while in messages, Messenger, and Viber, they go down and I miss them, and I also never see missed call notifications... One year later, a big downside is that the battery has decreased significantly and the browser consumes a lot of battery compared to the applications.
The camera is very good and the photos are of high quality.

After some update, something happened with the camera. The photos are terrible and it doesn't focus at all. You have to select on the screen where to focus and still it doesn't focus easily. Compared to my husband's s23, we open the camera with the same settings and, on 2 and the s21, it doesn't focus.
Well, I have had the phone for almost 2 months.... it is fast at 120 Hz, incredibly smooth screen scrolling... amazing resolution, I don't have a screen protector, I want to have 100% truly in what I see... the camera is impeccable, it surpasses iPhone 10, 11... THE DEVICE DOES NOT GET HOT IN ANY CASE... it doesn't come with a charger, only a type-c cable... I bought the genuine 25w charger and it charges 50% in 32 minutes... it doesn't feel like a €750 phone in hand, I would price it at €500-600, I'm always talking about the phone's chassis... I had higher expectations for the battery, but at first, you might be a little disappointed because you will be exploring it to learn more, but then it will last somewhat longer... I use it heavily for all social media and phone calls, but I also use earbuds and the battery lasts me throughout the day until the evening, let's say I'm at 10-12% battery by night if that helps you... the battery is GOOD up to that point... Now, for fingerprint and face recognition, I would keep the second one and without a screen protector, it won't disappoint you, the rest have their quirks... for DRONE users, I have to disappoint you, the DJI GO 4 app doesn't run, so the drone doesn't fly with this phone for now until today, 1-12-21, I hope they fix it, it's a shame for a flagship not to play the obvious...
Coming from Samsung S7, the transition to S21 is huge as it is evident. After 1 month of use:
The positives: Excellent screen resolution, very good camera, surprisingly satisfactory battery (even though it's only 4000 mAh) lasts 1.5 days with heavy usage.
The negatives: The speaker could be a bit louder, the fingerprint sensor could respond faster during unlocking, quite a high price.
Overall, it is one of the top phones one can find in the market at the moment, but not the top in its category.
Very good mobile, everything is excellent except for the battery. In the same usage as my previous phone, the Samsung Galaxy A71, this one runs out slightly faster. I was supposed to go for the flagship to have everything better, not the same or worse in one aspect.
