I used to have 2 Xiaomi cameras, one of which stopped working after an upgrade. The other, an older one with 720p resolution, works but doesn't send notifications. Then I bought the TP-LINK C200 camera, which I am very satisfied with. Now I will compare the Realme camera with the C200.
I wanted to buy another camera and I was torn between these two. The C200 and the Realme 360. After watching many videos, I ended up choosing the latter. I decided to give it a try. As soon as I received it, I placed the cameras side by side, in both daylight and darkness.
I didn't expect the Realme to be so much better than the TP-LINK! It has better image quality both during the day and at night! During the day, its colors are more vibrant. In darkness, both during the day and at night, the C200 has a slightly blurry image, but one positive aspect is that it has a larger digital zoom when viewing a video or live image. As for the Realme, the infrared LEDs are not visible in darkness!
Both cameras perform perfectly when it comes to notifications! They send continuous messages (per second) for motion detection or when sound is detected by the Realme. The Realme 360 also has a sensitivity setting, which works perfectly! At the highest setting, it can even detect mosquitoes. It can also track and rotate to its initial position automatically.
In the notifications menu, it has the classic timeline bar, where you can play a recorded video as long as you have inserted a memory card. It also saves screenshots. It doesn't save videos in the cloud, only sends notifications with screenshots, even without an SD card.
The Realme Link app connects instantly to the camera for live video, within 1-2 seconds. It has many basic settings, but I believe it needs improvement. Not that it has any issues. I think it is Realme's first camera, but it has done quite well for a first time. The fact that I don't miss any notifications is a big plus for me. I would buy another one!
I have uploaded night photos from both cameras for comparison. I haven't uploaded any daytime photos, but the resolution is good as I mentioned before.
UPDATE: One year later and nothing has changed. The camera is worth it! I don't miss any notifications!
