ATTENTION: Those who have purchased the product should check if the lamp emits a subtle high-frequency electronic sound during its operation. This usually happens at 100% brightness. It would be good to test the lamp when there is absolute silence, for example, late at night. If you hear this sound or whistling, then the lamp is defective and you may need to replace it - there are relevant reports on the Internet. Personally, I bought 4 lamps and only one presented this issue - I made sure to replace it immediately.
It is cute for its price. I have never tried a smart or RGB bulb before, so I don't know what the competition is like.
On the positive side, it has very easy connectivity - it worked with the app very easily and has nice settings such as a timer or trying to mimic the color temperature of the sun at a specific time of day in a specific geographical area.
On the negative side, its warm colors like yellow (orange/red) are not good (it has a tendency towards green in general). Even in "white" mode, it is not comfortable to use for reading/viewing and the printed colors do not appear correctly - they look dull. It definitely does not convince me that it has CRI80 - it is much worse than the already bad commercial bulbs.
I don't believe that I will use it to replace any functional/lighting purposes, but I think it will work for decorative lighting!
12-24 months later: the above still holds true, meaning it is only suitable for decorative lighting, and even then, you might stumble upon it. Don't even think about using it for reading or work. During this time, I really enjoy how it aesthetically enhances my space, and since there aren't many at its price, I just bought a second one. I should note that 2-3 times it lost its settings and I had to pair it again. I also had problems when trying to control it simultaneously from my phone and tablet. I solved it by uninstalling the app from the tablet.
The biggest issue with the bulb is that after power outages (which happen frequently here), the bulbs turn on, causing you to wake up in the middle of the night because of the light (and of course, if you're not home, they will remain on until you return to turn them off). Unfortunately, there is no option to change this behavior.
It disconnects from the app and then just works like a regular bulb, it doesn't reconnect with anything, I followed the manufacturer's instructions, but the app didn't see it again. What a shame, it was great while it was communicating!
1-2 times a month I need to reconnect it to the wifi otherwise every time I turn it on it blinks. Just for this 1 star because it is extremely annoying!
Overall, excellent product for its price. It is exactly what it promises. A lamp that connects to the phone with the TAPO app. It works perfectly on my Android. Satisfactory brightness. All colors have good intensity. Through the app, it has some smart features (e.g., automatic brightness adjustment based on the time of day) and you can create and save any color and brightness you want. I have it in a lamp where I keep the switch always on and I turn it on and off from my phone. The only complaint is that the app and the widgets take a few seconds to send the signal

Useful and economical lamp. It was installed in an E27 socket for a floor lamp, inside a bedroom. It connects very easily to the "TAPO" app, to control it from your mobile phone. Satisfactory brightness that can be controlled, as well as the option to switch between several different colors. I believe that the best and most relaxing color is deep red.
The packaging says 800Lm, but the light intensity is lower compared to traditional commercial bulbs with the same Lumens. No connectivity issues through the TP-Link Tapo app on mobile. Adjust the settings once and then you don't have to worry about it again. However, for a large space (30 sqm living room), the 3 bulbs I bought are not enough for sufficient lighting. But for a bedroom of 10-15 sqm with 2-3 bulbs, you can create a good atmosphere.
TL:DR Smart lighting requires money.
One of the best purchases I have made. There is the possibility of connecting with Google Assistant and this solves your hands. Quite bright bulbs with very good color performance. My favorite command with Google is to turn on the lights at a specific time!
I have not yet tried the product, but I just opened it. It is not enough to have Google Home, it requires its own app, the TP-Link app. You have to create an account and my Google account is not enough for it. For a light bulb! Utterly unacceptable. One star.
Excellent performance and finally hassle-free setup, I had tried another brand and in the end I threw them away because they didn't want to synchronize. It is good for all smart devices in a home to be one brand otherwise any application becomes difficult to use.
Generally, the only tiring thing is if you want to open and close it from the switch. If you do this a few times, the light bulb goes offline and then you have to re-register it.
We bought two, one to adjust the light only and the other to control it remotely.
Overall, though, it is a good construction and I recommend it!
I have bought 2 of them, I have been using them daily for 2 years for several hours, if they are connected to a stable internet, they never disconnect, they are very reliable.
Easy connection, good and user-friendly application.
Very good brightness adjusted below 2800 Kelvin (in Warm). The brightness decreases significantly from 3000 Kelvin and above (about 50%). The RGB is okay for effects. Sometimes it loses connection if the switch is turned on and you turn off the lights through the application for a long time. They reconnect easily, but it's an issue for someone who wants to control the lights only through the app.
Very good bulbs. But be careful, they have limited brightness and are not suitable for large spaces! They cover me in a small room. They are easily adjustable, with simple instructions. Their operation with the application is flawless, but sometimes they are slow to turn on or off when I press the switches through the program, and it's a bit annoying. Smart in every sense, with many program functions and nice color rendering even in white (warm-cold). I am quite satisfied.
Through the mobile application, the color and brightness change. You can also choose between warm or cool light. I connected it to Google, but sometimes it finds it and sometimes it loses it, while the manufacturer's application is more reliable.
The bulbs have the same light levels as LED bulbs in the same lumens.

I bought two bulbs to automatically turn on the lights in my dog's house when it gets dark.
Brightness, dimmer, colors, programming: everything is perfect.
The only reason I don't think I would buy these bulbs again is that there are two people in the house with the app, and we have each reconnected them at least 10 times in the past 8 months that we have had them.
They may need to be connected to only one mobile device. (Of course, with the smart plug from the same company, we don't have this problem).
Everything else is good, but the brightness for 806lm does not correspond to reality. The L510E has significantly better brightness despite also being listed as 806lm.

After trying a wiz and never managing to maintain a connection to the network, I returned it and got the tapo. It connected perfectly fine to Google Home and opens and closes with the assistant. The brightness is great. As for colors, I don't have a particular opinion, I don't think I will use anything other than white, yellow, and blue, which so far seem fine to me.
Very good choice, I have bought 4 so far, they work with scheduling, so whether I'm away or not, the lights turn on and off when they should. I use them both indoors and outdoors (living room, house entrance, etc).
