It requires a minimal amount for application on the face. It leaves it smooth and hydrated. It doesn't have a nice scent, but it doesn't smell for a long time. Only for the first 2 minutes when you apply it. I bought it for a severe redness on my face because it claims to depigment and smooth. I've been using it for 4 days and I do see subtle improvements in both smoothing and reducing the redness. I will come back for an update after more days of use
