Returning to school after the Christmas holidays and following their triumph in the Christmas football tournament, the Soccer Brains face a very harsh reality: They are left without a coach, as Felipe and Alicia leave Soto Alto for Atlético Madrid, and they risk being left without a team, as their school faces financial difficulties and the administration decides to cut sports and artistic activities.

Meanwhile, as the Soccer Brains go through days of anxiety, the entire village is preparing to experience historic moments. It will host a major exhibition traveling around the world: the Treasures of Ancient Egypt! Mummies, royal jewelry, crowns and scepters of the Pharaohs, grave goods, and hieroglyphics will be displayed in the dark basements of a large church, giving visitors the feeling of entering the labyrinth of a pyramid.

The opening takes place amidst a crowd of people and journalists who have flocked from everywhere, and just as the Soccer Brains and their class are being guided through the exhibition, something happens that no one expected despite the numerous security measures taken: a power outage and the theft of the most valuable exhibit. Our nine well-known friends, along with Greta, who becomes the tenth Soccer Brain, secretly take on the task of solving the mystery of this incredible theft to retrieve the magical necklace "The Eye of Horus."
