Description

The Atticus, a British secret service agent and assassin, comes from Cairo to occupied Athens to kill an English officer who pretends to want to escape to the Middle East and betrays the families that offer him help.

During his mission, he accidentally meets Niki, who also leads a dark life, and decides to collaborate with him. She introduces him to members of the Communist Party of Greece and the party leader, George Siadis, and Atticus discovers with surprise the connections between the British secret services, especially the SOE, and the Greek resistance.
Returning to Cairo with Niki, they find themselves entangled in a dangerous game of spies, where friends and enemies, patriots and traitors wear masks, while a mysterious woman, Elli Papadimitriou, pulls the strings of a communist core that operates behind the scenes.

Parallel to the war in the desert, another war is being fought in the shadows, in which even those who are in the same camp cannot trust each other.
