Description

«Mega Horologion» is the well-known special book of the Church that contains all the prayers and services of the day and night, and its form was established during the revision and division into three parts by Hieromonk Bartholomew of Koutloumousiou in 1832, with the approval of the Great Church of Christ.
This sacred book was also published by us in 2002 following the standards of the old editions of Venice, renowned for their beauty and accuracy. That edition was blessed by the Holy Mother of Christ's Great Church. We also present the relevant Patriarchal letter here, out of reverence and honor, and subsequently, we also include the memorandum submitted at that time.
We are now proceeding with another, parallel edition of the Mega Horologion in a small format for convenience. This edition contains the complete and unchanged text of the aforementioned one, with the only difference being that the synaxaria of the Menologion, Triodion, and Pentecostarion in Part B are presented in abbreviated form due to limited space, as observed in the small format editions of Venice. These, after all, did not exist in the old Horologia and were added by the late Bartholomew in the 1832 edition.
