After 6 years in my possession, I decided to write a review about this particular boot... I just replaced them today with another pair from the same company after three years of extensive hiking in all kinds of terrain and another three years of tough agricultural work.
The positives. No moisture enters the boot, neither from rain, mud, nor wet grass. You can also quickly step into water in puddles or shallow rivers and your foot will stay dry. In this aspect, I give them top marks. They are warm in winter and cool in the scorching summer.
Excellent grip on dirt surfaces and on very steep slopes, as well as in mud... They literally suction to the ground.
The intermediate sole is very good, providing comfortable and fatigue-free walking if you get used to their weight, of course, in soil and mud. It can be slightly tiring on concrete and asphalt, etc.
Let's move on to their negative aspect... While the outsole has excellent grip on all types of terrain... If you fall on dry rocks, everything is fine... If you step on wet rocks, it's a disaster... no grip at all... You can easily slip if you don't pay attention to this flaw... I don't know why this happens, but I learned to be careful on wet rocky terrain, otherwise, I would have slipped. Maybe it's due to the sparsely sharp teeth that suction everywhere except on wet rocky surfaces... This problem was resolved on its own when some teeth on the sole wore down after several months.
Overall, I am satisfied with this boot. I can say that they have been through a lot... They endured a lot of hardship, especially in the last three years when I used them for agricultural work, and they came out on top.
The worst boot ever.... As soon as I wore them, it felt like I was wearing athletic shoes with air soles. This lasted for 5 days and then I added a Scholl insole for work and a simple one to see if my feet would feel better and they did improve somewhat but not completely. Within the first three months, the sole became like rubber from a racing road machine... water from wet grass easily seeps into the foot after it had already been treated with beeswax. The foot sweats inside.
In the end, I went to put in a new sole and they told me that this sole doesn't exist and only with a patent can it be inserted... Never again Grisport
