I bought the cleanser because of its active ingredient, as I still have acne bumps and I don't want to constantly go to the dermatologist to have them removed (not that the product would replace the dermatologist, of course). I can't say it's a great cleanser overall, but it didn't impress me.

In detail:
The pros:
- Cleanses the face thoroughly without causing irritation.
- Fragrance-free, vegan & cruelty-free.
- Good value for money.

The meh:
- I don't feel like it does such a great job when it comes to acne marks. While I do see that they calm down over time, I expected more.
- It will take some work to make the product work. It's a gel-to-foam formula, but it's thick, so it requires a lot of water on the face and hands, and good massaging to dissolve efficiently on the skin. It's not as negative in terms of effectiveness for me as it is in the product's user experience.

The concerning:
- My concern is a bit more general and not exclusively about the product. I don't know how safe it is to combine a cleanser that contains exfoliating agents with other products that perform similar tasks (e.g., glycolic acid for exfoliation and retinol/retinaldehyde/bakuchiol for skin regeneration). I consider it a risk. However, the packaging states that it can be used twice a day in conjunction with salicylic acid products.

Overall, it's a good cleanser, but I believe there are other good alternatives that can achieve the same results in terms of cleansing or reducing marks. With less water, of course.
