In our days, amidst the general confusion and questioning of basic concepts and values that prevail, certain once self-evident concepts and values of Hellenism need to be brought back to the forefront and re-examined from a new perspective, that of the broader current political and social context. The latest social developments and the incredible political transformations we are experiencing today in Europe and internationally, more than ever, necessitate the rediscovery of certain stable reference points, timelessly tested, upon which a substantial and deeper approach to all European countries, and especially the countries of the European Community, will be established.
