The Noctua NH-L12S fits perfectly, even though the Noctua website does not mention it, and there is no need to remove the I/O cooler. However, Gigabyte provides incorrect drivers for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on their website. Find the corresponding drivers from the chip's website that the version you purchased uses, as it may have different chips depending on the revision.

  The motherboard is very good, it seems to be of high quality and offers various things like cooling for the front m.2. Easy to install, everything worked immediately and all 11 played without any complaints. You can see the ports and decide if it's enough, but they covered me. Unfortunately, it loses in software, which, like all devices of this particular company, is tragic, ugly, and difficult to use. It does its job, but leaves a feeling of cheapness and lack of attention.

  I have built 2 PCs with this motherboard. Overall, I didn't have any issues. The only thing that worried me was when at some point, in the second one which is also rev 1.1, the Bluetooth disappeared and after a lot of searching, I managed to find other drivers to make it work again. Also, the RGB management software is completely terrible and doesn't work. Other than that, it's okay!

  Very nice motherboard!

  I chose it for two reasons:

  Firstly, the very good reviews in presentations. For example:

  Secondly, it has three display outputs (1 DisplayPort and 2 HDMI), which was important for me as I intended to use it with an APU and without a discrete graphics card, and I needed three display outputs. It is the only B550 in these dimensions that offers this.

  I preferred it over the corresponding X570 because I didn't want to deal with difficult-to-repair and replaceable fans on the motherboard. One drawback compared to X570 is that it only has one M.2 slot for PCIe 4.0. The other M.2 slot is PCIe 3.0.

  I don't see any other drawback compared to the corresponding X570 from Gigabyte. In fact, the presentations say that it is improved in significant areas (thermal, etc.) compared to X570. (It was released after X570.)

  One MINUS that I don't know if it's worth deducting a star for, but it's ANNOYING, is that it doesn't have a USB Type C port for the front panel (it does have USB Type C on the back, of course). Dear Gigabyte, why? If you want to put it in a case that has front USB C, please note this.

  I have paired it with an AMD 5700G and two 3600MHz RAM modules (2 * 32, the maximum supported). For now, everything is working perfectly.

  The system is used for web development on Windows 10 with WSL and Docker containers.

  It works practically flawlessly for months. At some point, it had a minor issue with sporadic ethernet disconnections, which were "fixed" by disconnecting and reconnecting the cable. This seems to have been resolved for quite some time now through a driver update.

  However, it is NECESSARY to perform a BIOS update after installation. There were various issues with these motherboards in the past, but they have been resolved with the latest Gigabyte BIOS updates.

  It is functional but has serious problems with the drivers. The official network drivers from Gigabyte for this specific motherboard are simply bad. Every now and then, the Ethernet Driver just stops working and every time I turn on the computer, I have to reset the network drivers, restart, and reinstall from scratch in order to have Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi. From what I have researched, many people on the internet have the same problem and Realtek simply does not care to fix it for months now.
  
  There is also a problem with the USB drivers, as when the system goes into sleep mode and the screen turns off, the Windows sound for device connection and disconnection is constantly heard. I have not yet been able to find out what is causing it. I assumed that it simply needs an update to the USB drivers.
  
  Well, EVEN the USB drivers from Gigabyte's official page have a problem, and after installing them, they completely broke my operating system and I had to format twice to figure out what was wrong.
  
  Also, for some reason, the system does not go into sleep mode, it just goes into standby mode with the screen off, and even after a long time, I have not been able to fix this specific problem.
  
  It is really disappointing how many problems a relatively expensive motherboard from Gigabyte has caused.
  
  I assure you that if you do not have enough knowledge in computers and want a simple plug and play system, you will suffer a lot. After a lot of effort, I have managed to get the computer to a functional level, but it still bothers me a lot at times. Simply put, do not buy this specific motherboard and choose something similar.
  
  I am returning to this comment a few months later on April 19th. The latest BIOS version of the motherboard when I bought it was F12. The final BIOS that came out now is F16b. I mention that after the BIOS update, all the above-mentioned problems have been resolved. With the current information, this specific motherboard deserves a higher rating.
