This particular motherboard is, in a few words, the Gigabyte DS3H with a built-in IO shield and a larger VRM heatsink. The SATA cable slots are positioned in a way that if you plan on installing a large graphics card, you may lose two or three of them if it is too thick. However, it did not present any issues and accepted the Ryzen 5 5600 without a BIOS upgrade. I believe that the MSI B550M Pro-VDH is a better choice at a lower price because it comes with more fan headers, the SATA slots are oriented towards the right instead of upwards, so they won't be blocked by the graphics card, and it offers support for a case with a USB-C port
In my opinion, it is an amazing value for money, a very good choice with very good build quality. I have bought 2 of them and had no problems at all. I would definitely buy it again

Because people usually don't write about how they solve a problem when they actually solve it, I decided to make a difference and share with future buyers an experience they may have with this specific motherboard and help them. I had no idea about PC hardware until a few months ago, so forgive me for any small mistakes, the point is the essence.
I successfully built my first desktop (so far at least). The rest of the components are:
1) AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics 3.90 GHz
2) G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4 RAM with 2 Modules (2x8GB) and Speed 3600 for Desktop
3) Kingston NV2 SSD 1TB M.2 NVMe PCI Express 4.0
4) I did not install any other graphics card besides the CPU.
5) This is the motherboard.
I made a mistake and placed the RAM modules in slots 1 and 3. I entered the BIOS (with delete) and activated XMP to fully utilize the RAM's potential. Along the way, I realized that my RAM was running at 2133MHz and started researching it.
That's when I first realized my mistake with the slots. I shut down the PC and the power supply and changed the position of the modules, placing them in slots 2 and 4 to take advantage of dual channel. I entered the BIOS and reactivated XMP.
When I exited the BIOS, a new problem arose and the PC wouldn't boot. My RGB mouse didn't display its RGB, the screen didn't receive data, while the fans were working fine. Try searching the internet with the appropriate keywords and you will see that everyone writes their long and short stories on well-known forums, even that the components are NOT compatible (mobo with RAM). At this point, seeing so many sites mentioning the same problem and no one giving a normal answer, I was disappointed and said, "What did I expect, I went and got involved with the crazy people who build their own desktops." After some research and videos (this motherboard is popular and fortunately, you will find many helpful videos to solve your problems), I realized that I needed to boot the PC first. I took a screwdriver and touched the two pins on the mobo's CMOS to reset the BIOS settings. That worked and the PC booted. I started testing to see if there was an issue with any slot on the mobo or any RAM module. The PC continued to not boot with XMP enabled.

I entered the BIOS again, put aside my stubbornness, didn't touch XMP again, and manually activated the 3600MHz and it worked! I am running at 3600MHz, I had never experienced such a thing before. Images open in a fraction of a second, everything opens quickly.
I tested the stability with IntelBurnTest (I have a photo) with memory stress set to very high and everything seems to be working fine so far.
It was installed with a 5700G, gskill 3600, p3 crucial, and a 550W psu. No bios update was needed to recognize the cpu. The memory entered at 3600 with xmp and everything is generally fine. I liked the fun control and rgb fusion. My complaint is that it has one hdmi port and one dvi, I would have liked the dvi to be something more modern and it could have had a heatsink for the m2.
Unacceptable that the SATA3 ports are facing upwards. If you have a thicker card than mine, like the XFX RX6600XT, the SATA3 cables will break, especially the USB 3 cable. It doesn't work properly, it gives me errors. For me, it's a big downside that there are only two fan slots. Otherwise, good temperatures. The 5600X reaches 70 to 75 degrees with a stock cooler. I wouldn't buy it again for the aforementioned reasons. I have an MSI RX5600XT and I can't connect it without removing the SATA3 cable that is below, as shown in the photo!
Purchase based on reviews, I am very satisfied with what it offers. Be careful with the RAM memory, above 3200 (I installed 3600) there is a problem, it requires overclocking and BIOS upgrade because XMP doesn't work, every time I activated it, it blocked the motherboard. In communication I had with the store where I received it, they told me about the BIOS upgrade. The motherboard specifications mention 3600 o.c RAM, which I didn't notice. Currently, I have Gskill 16GB and they work at 2130MHz. I will change them for 3200. I didn't upgrade the BIOS because I'm afraid to mess with it. The power in my area is not stable. The installation and connection of the motherboard did not give me any trouble. I think it's a good motherboard and everything worked immediately. It was my first time assembling it myself, I installed the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G.
The motherboard is really a beast, worth its money. If you want to get it, get it without hesitation. Very powerful. My AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor runs as smoothly as possible on this motherboard.
Gigabyte B550M Aorus Elite is ideal for mid-high level computers! I have purchased this B550M Aorus Elite about 10 times. No issues with any B550M Aorus Elite. It would be much better if this motherboard was sold at a slightly cheaper price. However, it still performs better than other motherboards of the same price.
Very good motherboard. I used it in my first PC build and it has been working flawlessly so far. I mainly use it for gaming. The BIOS is quite good and it has a nice appearance. XMP for RAM worked easily and quickly. It is essentially the same as the Gigabyte B550M DS3H but the Aorus has a better heat sink and looks better. The price is relatively high (as with most motherboards lately). I paired it with a Ryzen 5600G, 16GB Ripjaws V, WD SN570, and the Arctic A35. I haven't installed a GPU yet because I'm doing my work with the integrated graphics. Overall, a very good purchase.
Indeed, it has been working flawlessly so far. All the buttons are easily and securely attached. My only issue was installing the Be Quiet Pure Rock 2 cooler, which required removing the rear fan from the case as it was interfering with the cooler.
I hooked up a 6650xt and a 5600 Ryzen. Read everything straight away, read the new SSD immediately and it didn't bother me at all. Only had a little trouble placing it because the fans were stuck, but that's purely my issue I suppose. No complaints, I hope it proves worthy over time.
After 11 months, the ethernet adapter stopped working and I don't have internet. Very disappointing for such a company, it has never happened to me before.
A Ryzen 5 5600 and Sapphire RX 6600 with 16GB of Kingston Fury RAM were installed on it without any issues. It recognized everything immediately, including the memory. For the price and as a budget PC, it's okay. Personally, I don't mind that it's micro ATX, although it was a bit difficult to fit into the case. The only negative thing I found was that it only has one USB 9-pin port. In my case, this meant I had to leave out one USB from the front panel of the case. Even cheaper motherboards have two ports, so I would have liked to see two here. On the positive side, there are two 5V and 12V ports for anyone who wants full RGB. It's not worth more than 100€, but it's a reasonable purchase at up to 90€.
I generally prefer microATX, I don't mind that it's not full size, although there is also the same motherboard in full size for those who want it. I also generally prefer Gigabyte, but this is my first time with an Aorus product, and once again it does not disappoint. The BIOS is very user-friendly, even someone who doesn't know much will be able to do the basics, such as enabling XMP. The process of updating the BIOS is also very easy.
One positive aspect is the one PCIe 4.0 Ready x16 Slot, where I plugged in an AMD card that supports it. Also positive are the four RAM slots, in case a user wants extra GB of memory. Additionally, it has TWO M.2 SSD slots, while most motherboards in the same category have only one.
It works perfectly and without any problems with a Ryzen 5 3600 and two G.Skill 3200MHz DIMMs. Finally, it is much more aesthetically pleasing, both in the front and with the beautiful pre-installed black I/O shield, compared to a standard motherboard at this price point.
I don't have anything negative to say, I recommend it for mid-tier systems like mine.
