- I recently bought it, as a start I will write my first impression and in the future I will come back with a new review.
- I got the khaki color, it looks beautiful. Its strap is sturdy, has very good quality and elasticity, which helps the watch to stay stable and not move on the hand unnecessarily.
- As for the construction, it seems very high-quality and durable, it is a bit bulky but that doesn't bother me, and let's not forget that it is a G-shock style. The screen is very good, with nice colors and excellent brightness even in strong sunlight, while the touch response is immediate and without any wrong choices due to the screen size. As for the screen, it is large and easy to read.
- I don't have an opinion on the battery yet because it has been tested a little, but it charges fully in less than an hour.
- The watch's software is fully translated into Greek and very easy to use.
- As for the software and what it can do, I think it is quite limited. It can measure heart rate, and the measurement is accurate, matching the measurements taken with a professional blood pressure monitor that also measures heart rate, with a difference of only 2-3 beats. It measures distance accurately, with a very small deviation compared to professional equipment, for example, at ten kilometers it has a deviation of a few meters. The GPS generally works smoothly, sometimes when there is no visual contact with the satellite it loses the signal for a few seconds and then recovers without any problems.
- The watch can work without the need for immediate connection to a mobile phone or tablet. When we want to connect, we do it via Bluetooth and select synchronization from the application, then all the recordings are easily transferred to the mobile phone.
- The communication with the mobile phone happens at the following levels: when we have the mobile phone, for example, in the bag and it rings, then the watch receives an immediate notification and we can either choose to silence it or end the call. The watch does not have a microphone or speaker, so we cannot answer directly from it. With the appropriate settings, we can receive notifications from our mobile phone or tablet at all levels, such as Facebook Messenger, Viber, email, and others. Generally, all the notifications we have chosen to appear on our mobile phone also come to the watch smoothly. Messages from Viber, Messenger, and others can be read in their entirety on the watch by scrolling the screen, it just doesn't display the images of the messages, only the text.
- In step counting, it sometimes misses, it counts steps even when you are lying in bed and move your hand. I found a way to fix this by selecting the option to change from step counting to distance measuring through the settings menu of the Notify Amazfit program.
- The sleep recordings are excellent, capturing many parameters related to sleep. Especially if you install the "notify for amazfit" app, which is clearly superior and offers many more measurements and capabilities, as well as countless free watch faces. The notify amazfit app can work simultaneously with the zepp app, which is the official application for the watch. It can even retrieve sleep data files from zepp afterwards, although this doesn't always produce reliable results. Sometimes there is a discrepancy in the synchronization of measurements. However, when the notify Amazfit app is open, it reliably pulls the measurements directly from the watch in real-time, as long as continuous recording is enabled in the app's internal settings menu. It is worth noting that the notify Amazfit app offers the most necessary features completely for free, while there are several more specialized features that one can purchase. The free features are more than sufficient even for demanding users. Both the notify Amazfit app and the official zepp app are fully translated into Greek. Additionally, the notify Amazfit app has the ability to create full backups of all data and settings stored in the app, either in the cloud or in a folder of our choice within our mobile device. We have the ability to restore the options we want.
- Overall, the watch is easy to use, with a very sturdy construction. It also has an alarm clock and can set multiple alarms for different reminders. It has a stopwatch, countdown timer, etc. When recording activities such as walking or cycling through GPS, the route is recorded and can be synchronized with the application to display the full map on our mobile device. It also has a compass, etc. The watch has the ability to activate the screen with a wrist movement, but through the application, we can disable this option and activate the screen by simply pressing the bottom right button.
Overall, it is worth the price (72€). You won't have to worry about it getting damaged, wet, or falling apart. It is a real beast and can withstand temperatures from -40 to 75 degrees. A true workhorse! However, it should be noted that it has limited capabilities as a smartwatch.

- After several months of recording daily exercises (cycling, walking, etc.), I remain just as satisfied as in the beginning.

- So far, and after intensive daily use, the watch is working perfectly! I continue to be satisfied with my purchase!
WARNING: I encountered the following issue. At some point, while I had exercise tracking enabled for cycling and the watch was recording properly, it suddenly stopped recording the exercise. What happened was that the watch's memory was filled with previous recordings that I had not deleted. So, I deleted all the previous exercise recordings from the watch since they had already been transferred to my tablet's application. After deleting all the previous recordings, the watch automatically restored all the data from the last exercise that had not been recorded due to memory limitations. (It had saved them on its own). Therefore, if you notice that your T Rex cannot make new recordings, delete the older ones and the problem will be resolved immediately.
