In recent decades, the compliance of states with the commitments they undertake at the international and supranational level has attracted the interest not only of legal science but also of international relations scholars, sociology, and political science. This study contributes to this interdisciplinary dialogue by highlighting the administrative dimension of compliance by member states with EU law. The analysis focuses on the implementation of environmental legislation by Greece in the critical area of waste management.
