I have it for a few days. Permanently connected 3 external, 2 USB 3.0, 1 USB 2.0. I have also connected a USB 3.0 card reader, even a 4X USB 3.0 hub, so we are talking about 11 (!!) ports and it did not show anything negative!
Absolutely satisfied for the money I spent.
The only NEGATIVE thing is the length of the cable and the "deep" usb-micro port, which did not allow the connection of a longer cable that I bought! The usb-micro connector on the cable in the package protrudes at least 1.5 millimeters (it is longer) from other cables I have, I don't know if it's random but it doesn't make it easy to buy a new cable.
Approximately 1.5 years in, all USB ports stopped working. Now it only charges devices, but it doesn't recognize any USB device for data transfer.
In general, it is a very good USB port hub. I don't know if others have issues with its cable. For me, if you even slightly move it, it disconnects.
It works perfectly with 3 external hard drives connected at the same time, as long as it is connected to a separate power supply.
Although after a while it needed a power supply because it started to have interruptions and not read active peripherals such as a hard drive, it is very good... and a note about the company itself... it needs a little more watt power supply in case someone connects only hard drives because it struggles
Everything is fine, it just doesn't read one hard disk slot. I will try changing the cable in case I have a cable issue, something that I didn't have as a problem before.
The worst purchase I have ever made. It never worked properly, it started randomly disconnecting the devices I had connected to it, and now it has completely stopped working. I have tried it on 2 different PCs, and neither of them recognize it in Windows. Overall, tp-link is the worst company I have encountered. Everything I have bought from them simply does not work.
It was purchased to connect up to 6 external hard drives. I have had it for about a month, and it has been working flawlessly from the first moment. I haven't measured the speed, but working daily with these specific hard drives, I haven't noticed any delays, neither in transfers nor in saving large files (over 200mb). I would say it is reliable. Its glossy surface is prone to fingerprints :)
Unfortunately, it has not met my expectations. My problems seem to be related to the device's power management, even if I set the hub and the devices connected to it not to go into idle mode
(it is also connected to a separate power supply, not just drawing power from the motherboard).
1) If I connect the wireless mouse receiver there, even if I have set it not to go into idle mode, it loses connection or freezes if a few minutes of inactivity pass, especially if the screen turns off...if I connect the mouse to another USB port on the motherboard, I have no issues.
2) Often requires Off/On to be able to support devices like 2.5-inch drives. I repeatedly happened to connect a drive for file transfer, but it wouldn't show up...and sometimes I would hear the noise of a new device being connected, but it wouldn't show up again...I had to press Off/On for it to work properly.
3) Problems with data transfer from a drive and connecting a mobile device.
Practically, the expectation of using the hub instead of having to reach behind the computer was not fulfilled.
Apart from transferring small files or a small number of files through an adapter (e.g., an SD card), it is unreliable for anything else, especially for devices that need to be constantly or continuously connected there.
Windows 10 X64 fully updated. I did not have any similar issues with other hubs.
I received it the day before yesterday and yes, I have no problem. I successfully transferred files through the hard drive without any issues with the ports
The purchase was made in 2019. Initially everything was fine, but now after 2 years of use, it has started to have problems. Mainly, I see issues like Windows constantly reconnecting to devices, which is annoying and repetitive. USB 2.0 drives don't work in any port, while they work normally in other ports on the tower. And the warranty is for 2 years, which has expired. Also, I have to mention that I never saw impressive transfer speeds from USB 3.0 connections.
It does a pretty good job, but when you have too many hard drives connected, sometimes some of them disconnect.
I have it for about a year on a raspberry pi and I have several devices connected for data and power supply without any problem.
Excellent product. It works better than I expected. No issues except for the cable disconnecting from the PC at the beginning. With a little care in handling the USB 3.0 hub, the disconnections stopped. When all seven ports are used, all connected devices work perfectly. I will choose the cousin of TP-Link UH720 v3 7 ports for the second PC, but it is still hard to find in the market.
I gave it one star because I had an issue with the hard drives. I might be at fault as well, not being an expert. Anything else I put in, like a regular mouse or cooler, is okay. I will come back...
Good machine. I have installed it on my desktop to have immediate access to USB ports on my desk without having to search in the tower. I have connected up to six things simultaneously and they all work fine. It may take a few extra seconds to initially recognize a hard drive when you plug it in, but then it works flawlessly. Good, compact construction overall. The only negative thing I find is the rubber pads it sits on, which do not provide sufficient stability on the desk. So, because it is also quite lightweight, every time you move a cable or a device that you have connected to it, the entire hub shifts from its position. The hub is currently functioning perfectly and will help you a lot with ergonomic issues.
Edit: I deduct 2 stars for the following reasons. After a year, it broke down. From the beginning, it was overheating, but towards the end, it started to overheat much more. One day, while I was sitting there, one port started emitting smoke, YES, smoke. I immediately disconnected it and that port obviously never worked again. Dangerous stuff. After a while, it started to not recognize any hard drive ports. Eventually, I bought an ICY BOX and saw the difference between a cheap plastic hub and a more premium metal construction. The ICY BOX heats up much less, everything works more directly, and it also charges mobile phones, smartwatches, etc. much faster. The TP-LINK is worth it if you want something relatively cheap. It will satisfy basic needs, but don't overload it. It may not break down in one year like it did for me, but sooner or later, it is certain that this will happen.
I have computer peripherals and it has no issues. It also has good build quality.
After using it for less than two years, a problem occurred with the power supply socket. As a result, it opens and closes whenever it wants and has burned two hard drives simultaneously. Very cheap construction materials that you expect to fail at some point.
I practically bought it so that I can connect controllers and have more comfort with the length of the cables. Overall, it's fine, but when I play with two controllers, many times it doesn't always recognize when I press buttons. Meaning, both players can move forward and it will pause, meaning one character will stop every few steps and then continue, as if it's not reading the command. Now, for data transfer, USB connection, etc., I am satisfied, no issues.
As construction is quite good for the money it asks and works without problems. It has seven ports, three of which are fast charging. I can say that I am quite satisfied, but it is still the beginning. As the packaging says, it is plug and play, it does not need any software to run. You connect it to the computer and the power and it is ready. I also prepared a quick video in case someone wants to see the packaging with the contents.

The most exceptional of all!!! I have tried various Chinese and branded ones for about the same price, but nothing compares to this. Connected four devices continuously with a Bluetooth adapter plus an iPhone 12 Pro Max for fast charging, they work flawlessly without any glitches!!! Simply value for money!!!!
If you want an elegant and functional USB hub, it will solve your hands! The reason there is also a socket is if you want to use the last 2 ports, if you don't need them, you don't need to plug it in.
Flawless, simply flawless. It operates very fast and with multiple connected devices simultaneously, and no problem with Windows 10.
Tested on MacOS. Although it has an external power supply, when 2-3 devices are connected for charging, not all of them charge.
It solved my hands! I have to switch 5 devices from my personal computer to my work computer every day, and now I just change one USB and I'm done. Besides that, all my cables are much more organized. Also, at night, I press the button and all the lights from the mouse, etc. turn off and don't bother me while sleeping. This little tool doesn't hesitate at all.
I have been using it for a while on a laptop running Windows 10. There have been some disconnections that I haven't figured out why they occur, however, they are rare and do not happen during file transfer but when it is idle. The transfer speed drops when multiple devices are connected, of course, this is something you expect because the speed is the same and is simply shared among more devices. The main drawback for me is the length of the cable, which is short and does not allow for convenient placement of the hub on the desk.
It is an amazing USB hub. I had tried several Chinese ones with external power supply, switches, etc., but none of them satisfied me. I drink water in their name. They are AMAZING, they work everything on them, very stable, truly enjoyable.
From the 3 months of use, when I connected an external hard drive and transferred files, it would disconnect and reconnect on its own, making it impossible to transfer them. Over time, it does something similar with my phone, even when I connect it to the 1.5A ports. However, when I connect them to the computer ports, it works fine.
I recommend it to everyone who needs a USB hub. It's better to save a few extra bucks than to buy something cheap that breaks within a month.

Purchased on 21/11/2019. No problems so far. Everything works as it should. Among the very positive aspects are the three ports of maximum intensity 1.5A for fast charging.
It is very good! It works perfectly on a MacBook Pro. The length of the cable is sufficient for my setup and desk. It is better to invest a little more in hubs (like this one at 28€) if you work with a laptop to have peace of mind.
I have been using it for two years on Mac and it works perfectly. However, newer versions with some additional features have been released, so it's better to look for something newer. But even if you get this, it's worth the money.
