Guys, the controller is top-notch! I have version - 2138 (2021 - 38th week). Just be careful:
1) The batch is written at the bottom of the box. If you receive batch number 1943 (a defective Microsoft production), return the product and ask for a new batch, not just an exchange. If they don't have a new batch, ask for a refund.
2) Most of the 21 controllers are excellent, but there is always a chance of receiving a defective product. So, open the box carefully. It has 2 adhesive films on top and bottom. Remove them and simply open the box so that it can be returned. (Some are complicated)
3) As soon as you take out the controller, download the "Game Controller Tester" app directly from the Microsoft Store. Windows/XBOX. Run it and check if there are any issues with the buttons/stick drift/vibration. In the photos, you can see that when I move the stick and release it, it says 0%, meaning it doesn't move/drift.
4) If you are using a PC and connect via Bluetooth, you may have an issue where pressing the "A" and "B" buttons takes a screenshot or opens the "Game Bar". This problem only occurs when using the controller on a PC with Bluetooth. If you use a cable or wireless adapter (or XBOX), there is no issue. The problem can be solved with a firmware update of the controller. If you have an XBOX, simply connect it and it will automatically update. If not, download the "XBOX Accessories" app from the Store, connect the controller with a USB cable, and THEN open the app. If it doesn't show a pop-up update message, close the app and the controller, and reopen them (like the photos). After the update, the controller won't be able to connect to the PC. Restart the PC and everything will be good.
~Tips: Clean the sticks because they can accumulate dust and stick. Don't connect the Charging Dock to a power outlet, only to the console or PC USB port. If you leave the controller on the Charging Dock, even with a full battery, there won't be any issues at all!

The price is undoubtedly high after all this time and everything that has been said, but you can find it in some stores for around 30-40, cheaper than the official resellers, at your own risk, and let the buyer beware!
I bought it with the current offer at 119€. LOT 2127. So far, I haven't had any issues compared to what I've read (they say the 1943 batch is faulty). The build quality seems top-notch with an incredible grip, it's heavier than the regular controller by 40g, 308g for the regular one with batteries and 348g for this one, something that can be felt in the hand. What I really liked is the immediate adjustment in trigger travel and the hardness that can be increased or decreased on the thumbsticks. The whole philosophy of the controller is to offer the features that the Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers had!!! Meaning, you can put the rubber grips from the Xbox 360 on the thumbsticks and adjust the hardness just like the Xbox 360 controller! This allows all users to customize and adapt the controller with the features of two of the best controllers ever released, the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
The case is beautiful and practical, it's great that you can charge the controller while it's inside. So far, it's the best controller with the best ergonomics I've ever held. Its battery simply never runs out. Now let's talk about the price, I believe that even though it's superior to the regular one, the triple price doesn't justify it. Its price should be around 100-120€ at most.
I also want to highlight the amazing after-sales service of Microsoft! I registered the controller on my account and instead of giving me one year of warranty, they gave me 7 months. I contacted the service directly via chat, they asked for the purchase receipt which I sent them via email, and they extended the warranty from 7 months to 24 hours!!! For now, I would give it 5/5 stars with the reservation of any future problems it might have. I would definitely deduct one star due to the price if I had bought it for 180€, but since I got it for 119€, I don't consider this price excessive considering the quality and accessories it offers.
edit1: 25/09/23 I'm coming back after 1+ year to give feedback. Well, the controller started having issues with the RB and LB buttons, sometimes they register twice or don't register at all, and the X button stopped registering. The funny thing is that I haven't "abused" it at all compared to the regular one that came with the console, which I have used extensively and even mishandled, including dropping it multiple times, yet the regular one hasn't had any issues while the Elite "fell apart" with minimal and careful use. So, it doesn't matter which batch it is, they all have problems, and despite that, Microsoft seems indifferent about it, and I say this because there are three of us in the group who bought from the latest batches, and all three of them have failed. So, 3 out of 3. Also, it seems that the 2-year warranty is given to all Microsoft controllers in the EU.
edit2: 12/10/23 I sent the controller for repair, it took 17 days for it to go and come back. They sent me the same one since it has the same serial number, although I don't know what else they might have fixed internally. They fixed the buttons that had issues, but in a weird way, the left thumbstick doesn't have a smooth feeling when you don't have the attachment on top, and the left vibration makes more noise than before. When you make 360-degree rotational movements with the thumbstick, you feel that the movement is not smooth and it's like it's "stuttering" internally. I called the service again and sent it back. Although I have mentioned multiple times the new issue with the phone, I have the feeling that they will turn it around again with the same problem. I will update regarding the 3rd edit.
edit3: 01/11/23 Okay, the controller came back and it seems to be working as it should (until the next time I send it again! lol). Also, regardless of the good service that MS has, when they return the controller from the service, they also delete the registration of the controller in your MS Account. The result is that when you try to register it again immediately, the controller shows as out of warranty and every time you have to speak to support and send them the receipt again to fix it! Obviously, this only happens to us in the EU, where the controller has a 2-year warranty.
In conclusion, although the controller is "top gun," I would not recommend it to anyone due to the quality construction issues it has.
After 2 years of use. I took it for service due to drifting. Now the USB-C doesn't work and the plastic parts on the sides are coming off. I do not recommend it for purchase.
I have it for two weeks now and it's fantastic, the only thing you need to know before buying it is that the back buttons are not programmed as their own buttons, meaning you can't make them back pedal 1 2 3 4 in a game, you can only make them act as buttons that already exist on the controller, like X Y A B, just to be more convenient. Other than that, it's an excellent controller, metal, convenient, and worth every penny. Everything is magnetic and you can remove the d-pad and thumbsticks and replace them without any effort. I highly recommend it, it's very good for its price, get it

First purchase came with faulty face buttons, returned and replaced it with another one (also new) that had faulty face buttons again (double inputs in both cases).
I was hoping that the comments here and in other forums were exaggerated, but unfortunately the chances of receiving one in good working condition are slim.
It's a shame because the controller would be perfect if it worked correctly.

I use the controller daily because of my work, the first buttons that are not responsive are the triggers RB LB and then it drifts. I have tried to fix the triggers, etc. but still get the same results...
Also, in terms of quality, I really don't see anything special compared to the regular Xbox One controllers...
For everyday use, no matter how Elite the controller may be, I do not recommend it...

I have had it for a year now. 2 stars because its price is not proportional to its quality. Now, if you are going to search for which batch is good and which is not, so as not to cry for your money, I consider this a mistake. As for the quality, I will not mention the damages I have encountered. I face more or less the same problems as the other negative reviews, plus the fact that the plastic coating, which is supposed to be for when your hand sweats, has started to peel off. And no, I don't sweat or play like a monkey! When I intend to play like that, I use the classic controller so as not to damage the expensive one. But oh well, whatever! In any case, if you plan to buy it, I would suggest being very gentle with it in order for it to last. If you plan to have children with it, get the classic one which is cheaper! I hope this helped!

a black nightmare. Don't make the mistake like I did and buy it, its buttons get stuck and it's also very heavy. I have sent it back to Microsoft and asked for a replacement, but in the end, it's all the same from what I read from others. Imagine, I have this and I prefer playing with the regular Xbox controller.
I have the controller since 15/07/2022 for €119, where I use it almost daily for at least 2 hours per day. Sturdy, durable, and high-quality construction. Fully satisfied with the sticks and the options for intensity and responsiveness. Tremendous battery life, considering the use of headphones in addition to wireless use. Extremely satisfying in terms of response time, and of course, the controller for Xbox Series X is equally satisfying. The back pedals are game changers in my opinion, especially in FPS games and more. Essentially, this is the reason why I chose to purchase the product and I do not regret it.
I cannot categorize it exactly as a value for money product, despite the fact that I bought it for €119. Additionally, for a period of time, the right bumper was sticking and registering double inputs, but it fixed itself without me doing anything specific. During the same period (about two months), the A button was also sticking, but it also fixed itself without me doing anything.
If they added up to 2 (if not 4) back pedals to the classic Xbox Series X controller, without any other additions, I believe they would have a killer controller in the market. The ability for short triggers and the intensity in the sticks are, in my opinion, somewhat unnecessary and significantly increase the cost. A high-quality controller for €70-80 with back pedals alone would cover the majority of the market, while outselling all other controllers.
One of the best controllers I have used has a premium feel. The buttons on the back make a big difference, I would say, once you get used to them, it's a bit weird at first. For me, the only negatives are its weight and the regular buttons A B X Y, which are not always responsive, you have to press them well and I have seen many people complain about their registration and in reviews for this controller. Overall, it is good but for its price, the A B X Y buttons should be more responsive.
The best controller if it worked as it should. In my hands, it is the most premium controller I have ever had, until I realized that the buttons don't work correctly.
What I mean, and with a little searching you can find it everywhere, is that the A and Y buttons mainly don't register half the time. Something they haven't fixed and is not justified for any controller, especially at such prices.
If you are looking for a controller for PC, I recommend the PS5 (there is also an Edge version, but I don't think it's worth the $250), that's what I have now and in the few games that are not fully supported, there are applications that make it recognized as an Xbox
or the classic Xbox series, although they have a similar problem but to a much lesser extent in my experience.
In one year it broke, I sent it to be fixed because it had a warranty but they stole my round d-pad
Awesome AWESOME controller. Day and night from all the others on the market.
You grab it and you see the incredible build quality straight away. The non-slip material on all surfaces is very good. Of course, it will be a hassle to clean if it gets dirty, so be careful.
The 3 levels on the triggers personally don't bother me, but in a test I did on Halo in its "closed" mode, the difference in trigger response and burst in the game is noticeable.
I don't use the 4 paddles on the back and removing them is simple, and there are slots inside the case to store them (if you get the black one with everything inside).
The buttons don't make much noise. So-so.
The grips are of good quality and don't give you the feeling that something is wrong or creaking when you squeeze them.
The vibration is not bad. It doesn't shake like you're holding a cat that wants to escape from your hand, but it's not as weak as in cheap mobile phones.
Ideal weight (definitely for me).
I read on various pages that the buttons may come off or fall off easily. That's not true. They are stable and don't come off unless YOU want to remove them.
I don't know how durable it can be in a fall, nor do I plan to find out. Hopefully, if something happens, we won't cry about it right away, nor will it leave any "flaw".
Wireless compatibility. I have the Bluetooth adapter for W10 from the '18 controller that came with it back then, and it works 100% with this controller too. It recognized it immediately as soon as I pressed pair. The response was immediate. It doesn't "lose connection" or delay.
Definitely install Xbox Accessories from the MS Store for firmware updates and custom profiles. The cable is long enough for those who can't go wireless or don't want to.
Another very good app is the Game Controller Tester, which others have recommended in various reviews. It has everything you need to make sure as soon as you open it that there is no drifting and that all the buttons work. It's also free from the MS Store.
The controller comes almost half charged. So you can immediately use it for testing and updates. The first charge (again, as it comes) took less than 2 hours on USB 3.1 with its own cable. Whether the battery will last close to 40 hours as promised will be seen soon.
Finally, as the other friend here says in his review, make sure it's a new batch controller (LOT 21** and above) and not from the old faulty ones that may have been left on a shelf and some store is trying to get rid of them to unsuspecting customers. Although logically, all serious stores would have returned them when Microsoft recalled the faulty batch.

I was a little late but it's an opportunity. Around 1942, about 3 years in my hands without presenting any problems at all. It has worked on xbox one s, one x, series x and with the addition of brook it gives pain on the ps4 pro (often on the 5 but you can only play on the 4). It is tested very often and everything has a 0.00 performance. Charging three times a month and you never run out of battery. The weight and how it fits in the hand is top-notch (let's say compared to the ps5 it's like a poor relative, even though I'm a die-hard Sony fan). The only drawback is the price (now it's -70 compared to 19), but still expensive.
LOT 2202, no matter what you write about this controller, it's not enough. Forget about Scuf and other fancy options. At 120€, it's a real opportunity considering all the hardware and software features it offers, as well as the 2-year warranty.
Unbelievable grip and button pressing. Perhaps the perfect controller right now. It has everything customizable with different switches to choose from, built-in Bluetooth battery, charging dock, and carrying case.

I bought it because I wanted a second controller, and since the regular ones cost around €60, I decided to get a premium one.
I believe it's worth the money, and you will realize that when you play with it for a bit. Everything about it is premium, and I also saved on batteries, etc. It's a relief to go back to USB charging.
I won't say it makes coffee, but my hands feel relaxed, you press the buttons gently, and the response is slightly better than the original controller, which I didn't expect. I tried it only with NBA 2K22, and it improved my gameplay. I no longer have to strain my fingers to perform combos, all the dribbles, etc., come out effortlessly. Also, I scored 55 points for the first time, while my average is around 27 to 30. This might be because I was using something new, and when I get used to it, I might go back to my usual average, but I'll know for sure in the near future.
I also saved €15-18 because I was planning to buy two meters of Type C cable to charge my phone, but luckily, the packaging already includes two meters of Type C cable, which also looks very nice.
I made the mistake and even though I had heard that they are terribly problematic and because I found a batch of the 21st 49th week, I decided to try it. I opened the box, I put it to test and the A button was not working correctly, sometimes it registered and sometimes it didn't. Also, there was a slight drift on the right joystick. After doing some research, I realized that 90% of them are faulty or will give you problems within three months. I am writing this review to warn those who think that the new batches have been fixed. Unfortunately, as much as I love Microsoft and the controller, if it worked, it is really comfortable and helps you play better. If you are now in the 10 to 20% that works correctly, you are lucky.

One month later and after 2 replacements, I found one that works properly, although with minor issues, such as a slight sticking on the right trigger when pressed, which is not too tragic but still exists, and the left vibration has a problem, it is light even at maximum due to a faulty motor.
Conclusion, it is a lot of money for so much trouble. Even though the controller is quite premium in terms of use, it definitely does not deserve that price.

Very powerful controller and it seems durable.. below regarding the buttons it really seems that something is not going so well as if you press them a little softer it's like you're not pressing them at all. Overall it's fine and for the price of 119 I believe the price matches the product.

If I could, I would give it 4.7 stars for its "durability".
1. It has some minor issues, for example, the RB button sometimes double-clicks when pressed once.
2. The analog sticks have a slight gap, as if they are slightly worn out. If you move them very gently in all directions, you will notice it. However, they are within the deadzone, so it doesn't create any problem anywhere.
Now, the positives.
1. It has an amazing grip and a very solid feel.
2. The buttons are silent even when vibrating.
3. The feel of the dpad is incredibly enjoyable.
4. Its analog sticks are among the best I have tried.
5. The extra buttons at the bottom are very convenient, especially the two on top.
6. The battery never runs out. I have had it for 6 months and it has never died, but I charge it daily on the dock, which is simply excellent quality!
7. The packaging, case, dock, and overall design seem to be very well thought out. Those who have it will understand. The joystick and related components have been designed with great care.
Overall, I have used/owned many joysticks... But I have never used such a tool before!!!
Buy it without fear, it is definitely worth up to 150 euros. Just keep in mind that it may have some minor issues, which can be solved by internally "cleaning" the respective button causing you trouble. As for the analog sticks, I don't have an opinion yet on any damage (drifting, etc.)...

I don't need to say much, I've had it for 1 week. It's definitely worth the money, very good quality, features, and ease of use... following Chris the Greek's review, which I found 100% valid... the controller works perfectly without any issues.
Yesterday 11/11/21 I received the faulty controller... as soon as I connected it to the computer, I realized that the left joystick does not reset when I move it upwards or to the right, and this movement becomes more difficult. While it worked normally when moved to the left and downwards and reset... As if that wasn't enough, it made a strange sound like it was getting an electric shock... I applied for a product return and I am waiting for the next steps... I was very impressed when I first held it in my hands, but these two things really disappointed me, especially considering the high cost... I am waiting for further updates..
Tip! In the receipt, there is a 2-year warranty, but some buttons broke after 1.5 years! And now the fun begins.

Yesterday (15 days later), Microsoft asked me to send the controller to Belgium (if I remember correctly) and that's it.
After a 50-minute phone call, we concluded that they didn't do anything for their customer and many many more.
I have the controller for about three months and there is a very serious problem... Every controller I hold in my hands after this one feels like it came out of a lucky bag :P Guys, this is the most sturdy and good controller available on the market, having played with all the new generation controllers. Its price is indeed high and that is its biggest downside. I have not encountered any of the issues others have mentioned even once. The analog sticks are something you have to try to understand how high-quality they are and how amazing the feedback is. For me, this controller is a 5 out of 5.
Guys, I had the first one for a long time (almost day one) and now I have the v2 which is better than the first one in several things, like smaller and more comfortable back paddles. It has 3 settings for the RT LT buttons for shooting games, you can customize everything to your liking, even the joystick has stiffness. I would recommend it to anyone if they can afford it (it's expensive).. the only thing you need to know is that I had to send the v1 back 3 times and the v2 once so far, hopefully for the last time... both of them had issues with the joysticks
For FPS Gaming, currently the best option on the market for PC is the Razer Wolverine Ultimate, with the advantage that the ELITE 2 is wireless. However, note that if you connect via Bluetooth, the headset will not work and you will need to purchase an adapter. It has many settings for the sticks/triggers to enhance the gameplay... but the buttons are still problematic and stick, just like with the ELITE 1. Therefore, for sport games, emulators, etc., forget about it, you need a second controller. The ideal one is the XBOX Series X Controller, priced at 60 Euros, which is perfect and strangely enough, its buttons do not stick. Additionally, for experienced gamers who care about precision, the left stick has a slight deviation that may be noticeable in competitive games (e.g. The Division). In this case, a very good option for a wireless controller is the Razer Raiju Tournament (just note that the headphone jack only works with a wired connection). Hopefully, the Elite 3 will solve the minor issues of the previous models in the future
At first, I had no issue. It seems to be of good quality. However, after 3 months, I noticed that it was losing the left analog. It was moving on its own. I did some research and found out that this problem exists since version 1. The positive thing is that you can send it to Microsoft at no cost and they replace it, but no one guarantees that the same issue won't occur again. I wouldn't get it again
