Description

The VI 1200 CSW UPS Line-Interactive 1200VA 720W with 4 Schuko Sockets from Powerwalker is a Tower UPS. It features 4 Schuko type sockets as well as an input and output for an ethernet cable, protecting the devices connected to it, e.g., router (provided their power supply is also connected to the UPS or a surge protector). Its operation is (VI) Line-Interactive, which continuously adjusts the output voltage through an automatic voltage regulator, protecting against voltage fluctuations and power outages. It offers pure sine wave power, which is suitable for sensitive devices (e.g., medical equipment) and is preferred for devices with power supplies that have active PFC protection (e.g., computers).

    • Very good for its price. Bought it in 2021 for €170. The batteries still hold up. In the future, I will put slightly larger ones

This review is about the power (va): 1200 VA

I bought it on 9/4/2020. From the beginning, the duration was very short (1'-2'). At some point, after 2.5 years, it stopped functioning as a UPS and couldn't hold a charge for even a second, so I replaced the batteries with 2X SunLight SPA 12-9 and now it holds for 15'-20', as it should have done from the beginning with the load I assigned to it (total cost 40€ - Purchase on 22/11/2022 - ridiculously easy replacement).
Conclusion: The batteries it comes with are completely useless. So if you get it, factor in an additional cost of +40€ for other batteries that you will probably have to replace immediately. It may still be cheaper than the equivalent APC models, from which I have a better out-of-the-box experience, but they are too expensive.

Very good UPS of pure sine wave, with a very good price, as previously mentioned here by much more specialized members than me in electrical matters. In a system with rtx 3080ti, ryzen 5 5600x and lg cx oled, in a 4k 120 gaming scenario (full load) you have 5 minutes until it shuts down. For simple tasks on the desktop, easily 18 minutes. Very satisfied for what I need it for. I also have a ps5 and the samsung q950t soundbar. I got it relatively cheap at 210 euros (1500VA, 900W), but it's not from authorized stores (300+ for those), so I have a 2-year warranty instead of 3.. Also, the evaluation of hardware busters helped me a lot.
      *update 2/7/2024.
Now, with the ultimate beast rtx 4090 and 7800x3d, the system works flawlessly and you have time to easily shut down the PC in case of a power outage, even while you're Ingame

Flawless True Sine UPS. [1200VA] - 159 euros
2 years later, with custom batteries (10 times the capacity) it gets the job done with quality. When it heats up (power cuts or charges the batteries from very low), its fan makes a little noise (you can change it with a custom mod with a larger one).

Very good UPS (Powerwalker VI 1500 CSW) at a price around 200 euros and with a 3-year warranty if purchased from an authorized reseller. The build quality is satisfactory, but I would prefer higher quality batteries.

      Pros
      • Pure Sine
      • Adequate for a powerful gaming system
      • Long backup time
      • Good build quality
      • Quality FETs used in the inverter
      • Four schuko sockets (only two for battery and surge protection)
      • Basic EMI and surge protection is offered
      • AVR with decent operation
      • LCD screen
      • Front USB ports for device charging
      • Software compatible with Windows, Linux, and Mac systems
      • Low noise when the fan is not running

      Cons
      • Expensive
      • Long battery switching time
      • Heavy and quite large (increased depth)
      • High energy losses during normal operation (AC power)
      • The fan makes noise when running
      • The AVR should not allow output lower than 200 V
      • I expected better quality batteries

      The Cheapest True Sine UPS!

The Powerwalker VI 1000 CSW is the cheapest True Sine UPS on the market and is ideal for mid-level systems, with a real consumption of up to 600-640W. At around 120 euros, it shows a crazy opportunity. Watch the video for more! https://youtu.be/g6G-QaR0he4

I will have the machine in about 15 days. The only test that was done was a manual power outage, in which it performed normally. Now, some tips... usually it happens to me at night when the network in my area is overloaded with 245v and you can hear a slight buzzing sound. So, if it bothers you during sleep, keep the on/off button steady to switch to battery mode and simply switch to the stabilizer. The UPS is narrow, long, quite heavy, and of very good quality.
