Leaves = also called "Mayors' trees" because they are an easy solution: they grow and become impressively tall, creating significant problems in the daily life of the city, and certainly during the term of the next mayors.

Chamomile = dwarf palm-like trees that grow slowly and reach a height of only three meters, but are distinguished for their unique aesthetics and durability.

The title of the book is also the essence of my thoughts; Leaves or Chamomile? What do we ultimately choose? Convenience or correctness? Individual convenience or collective perspective? Despite my transition from "common" to "public life", despite my involvement in politics, I believe that I have not ceased to think as an active citizen. I always feel pressed for time, I feel that we must catch up. Catch up so that future generations do not have to deal with the same issues...

In these articles, I write about what we discuss in social gatherings and should no longer remain there. I write about the obvious that needs to transition from discussion to implementation. I write about the initiative that brought us together but fell apart along the way. I write about the vision that not only needs to stay alive but, finally, become a reality.
