Description

The Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 6GB OC is a reliable graphics card aimed at users seeking high performance at a reasonable price. With a Turing TU116 core and 6GB of GDDR5 memory, the GTX 1660 offers enough power to run most games at maximum settings in 1080p resolution.

Gigabyte has also enhanced this card with its unique high-performance cooling technology, Windforce 2X, which helps keep the temperature at reasonable levels and maintain the card's operation for a longer period.

GeForce Experience

Capture and share videos, screenshots, and live streams with your friends. Keep your drivers up to date and optimize your game settings. GeForce Experience allows you to do all that. It is the essential companion to your GeForce graphics card.

Turing Shaders

The Turing Shaders offer enhanced rendering and graphics processing capabilities on Nvidia's graphics cards.

They operate using a workflow architecture that allows simultaneous processing of multiple parts of the image, leading to more realistic results and improved energy efficiency compared to the previous generation for a faster, cooler, and quieter gaming experience.

Nvidia Reflex

Low Latency Mode

The GeForce GTX 16 Series cards and Nvidia Reflex provide the lowest latency and best responsiveness for the ultimate competitive advantage.

Designed to optimize and measure system latency, Reflex delivers faster target acquisition, quicker reaction times, and the best aiming precision for competitive games.

Game Ready Drivers

GeForce Game Ready drivers provide the best possible experience for your favorite games. They are finely tuned in collaboration with developers and have been extensively tested on thousands of hardware configurations for maximum performance and reliability.

NVIDIA Ansel

NVIDIA Ansel is a powerful program that allows you to take professional-level photos from your games.

Now, you can share your most brilliant gaming experiences with super-resolution, 360-degree, and HDR photos.

DirectX 12

DirectX 12 is a technology developed by Microsoft and used by many graphics card manufacturers, including Nvidia.

GeForce graphics cards provide advanced DX12 features such as ray tracing and variable rate shading, bringing games to life with highly realistic visual effects and faster frame rates.

Nvidia G-SYNC

This technology synchronizes the computer's screen refresh rate with the game's frame rate, thereby eliminating tearing, stuttering, and other issues related to unsynchronized graphics performance.

To use G-Sync, a compatible monitor that supports the technology is required.

Virtual Reality

Virtual reality offers some of the most immersive experiences in PC gaming. But getting the right VR is difficult. With actual screen resolutions at 4K and increasing, minimum refresh rates of 90 Hz, and high latency tolerances, virtual reality is one of the most demanding applications in the world.

Windforce 2X Cooling System

The Windforce 2X cooling system features unique blade fans 2x90mm, Alternate Spinning, composite copper heat pipe direct touch, and 3D active fan functionality, providing an effective heat dissipation capability for higher performance at lower temperatures

Reverse Rotation

Gigabyte's reverse spinning is the only solution that can solve the turbulent airflow of adjacent fans. Since the adjacent fans rotate in the same direction, the airflow direction is opposite between the fans, which will cause turbulent airflow and reduce heat dissipation performance.

Gigabyte reverses the adjacent fans in the opposite direction, so that the airflow direction between the two fans is the same, reducing turbulence and increasing airflow pressure.

3D Active Fan

The 3D Active Fan provides semi-passive cooling and the fans will remain off when the GPU is in low load or low power game. It allows gamers to enjoy the game in absolute silence when the system is running without load or is idle.

Unique Fan with Blades

The airflow is dispersed by the triangular edge of the fan and is smoothly guided through the curve of the 3D stripes on the fan surface, effectively enhancing the airflow.

Direct Contact Heat Pipe

The shape of the pure copper heat pipe maximizes the direct contact surface with the GPU, enhancing heat transfer. The heat pipe also covers the VRAM through a large contact metal plate to ensure proper cooling.

Composite heat pipe

The composite heat pipe combines thermal conductivity and phase transition for effective heat transfer management between two solid surfaces, which increases cooling capacity.

Backplate Protection

The backplate not only provides an aesthetic shape but also reinforces the structure of the graphics card to provide complete protection.

  • Ultra cooling

The MOSFETs with lower RDS(on) are specially designed to produce lower switching resistance for faster charging and discharging of electric current at an extremely low temperature.

  • Low power loss

The metal choke holds energy much longer than common iron core chokes at high frequency, thus effectively reducing core energy loss and EMI interference.

  • Longer lifespan

Solid capacitors with lower ESR ensure better electronic conductivity for excellent system performance and longer lifespan.

  • The card is very good for the price it was bought in '19 but for the price now it's not worth it at all. It plays MWII 160 fps medium high. Fortnite 240 fps low medium. As for the price mentioned above, you can get a 3060 ti for the same money. Overall, a good card but not for this price.

Guys, I've been using this card for about a year now and I have no complaints, on the contrary, I think it's a great card. As for the noise mentioned, it's not the card's fault, there is a cable-adapter that connects to the card and from there to the power supply, not directly. Whoever has this issue, this is the solution.

The card is starting to age now, it still works for lighter games, but for heavy games you need to lower the graphics quite a bit... Also, with this price, don't even consider getting it, an rtx3060 is five times more powerful and costs less!

A fairly good card if you get it at the price it deserves, but the card has reached 300 euros, heavily weighing 200 euros.
    Some general words:
Very quiet card, quite good in terms of quality, okay plastic back plate but it doesn't matter as it is the simplest implementation of the 1660.
Plays most games with good fps.
    I have it with a 5600x:
    LoL: 250+ fps
    COD Cold War: 120 fps
    Valorant: 550-600 fps
Overall, a good card but due to its price, I would recommend going for something else

If you find the card around €220, it is quite reasonable. However, for gaming in 2023, it starts to become difficult and you are forced to make various compromises in graphics. But if you need it for Fortnite, LOL, and other lightweight games, it's perfect.

I was unlucky with the price because the next day I received and opened it, the price dropped by 80€, but it is unrelated to its performance. Very good tool! Forza Horizon 5 runs smoothly!

I bought it in early December, I managed to get it for 250. Powerful card but with factory settings it reached 82-84c along with a lot of noise from the fans. After a little research, I did undervolting (although it was my first time, now there are such good tools that it's very easy) and now it has lower power consumption, it goes up to 72-73c and the noise has been greatly reduced.

An excellent graphics card for its price can perform very well in games and other low-temperature applications, with its positive characteristics being its quiet and high-quality construction. I highly recommend it until it reaches the price of 350 euros, and there is no other cheaper model

Purchase at 263€ at the beginning of August, where it replaced a GTX 750. For gaming at 1080p and with a price range of 260-280€, I can say that it is still worth someone's purchase of this specific card. For more money, there is no discussion, there are better options (such as RX 6600, RTX 2060). The strengths of the card are low temperatures (with a small sacrifice in noise) and most importantly nowadays, low power consumption compared to the next generations of cards. If your budget is tight and up to 280€ and you are not concerned about gaming at 4K, it goes without saying that you should purchase it blindly.

Five stars only because it is a gigabyte. I bought it for a total of 257 euros including VAT, etc., which I believe is a relatively good price for the current period. Let's not forget that the original price was 250 dollars and then dropped to 200, apart from that, don't expect to get it for less money because it is three years old and companies want to maintain their profit as high as possible. The criteria that prompted me to buy this card are: that it is durable, it has at least 6GB of memory and not 4, which I consider unacceptable for a card over 150 euros. This specific card has the same performance as an rx 6500xt for almost the same money, but it can also do video rendering, streaming without burdening the processor, it has more outputs, low power consumption, and can comfortably play all games. So, up to 250-260 it is worth it, for more money it is better to go for an rtx 2060 or rx 6600. This is my opinion, I hope I helped in choosing your new card.

It's worth the money, now that the prices have dropped a bit. 300 euros purchase.
It's not a top-notch device, but it does what it says.
For a casual gamer, it provides a steady 60 fps on 4K Fortnite with ultra settings, without ever lagging.
What else could one ask for?

I had bought it 2 years ago at the price of 225€. It was summer before the pandemic. Back then, it was clearly value for money and now its price is 100€ higher. We're talking about a flawless graphics card, very powerful, capable of handling heavy games at high fps. It hasn't had any issues and it's perfect for the ultimate gaming experience

I have had an excellent GPU for 2 years now, but currently its price is very high due to Crypto, understandably. Unfortunately, it is no longer value for money. I had bought it for 263.99 Euros. It was definitely value for money back then. Its performance is very good. I highly recommend it, of course.

I have the GTX 1660 gaming OC/6gb/gddr5, the one with the 3 fans. I bought it a year and a half ago for 250E. It works at least 12 hours every day and I haven't noticed any issues. I pair it with an i5 10400, 32gb of RAM, and a 650w power supply. It's not completely silent, but the noise is not bothersome. I believe it's top-notch in its category (200-250E). In games like lotro & DA inquisition, with ultra high settings, I haven't seen the temperature go above 64 degrees. The downsides are the prices I see above 500+ and possibly its large length, make sure it fits in your case

The card is very good if you are more interested in fps and not so much in resolution, then it is not worth spending much more money for the 1660 ti and super because they achieve almost the same fps on low and medium settings and only stand out on high settings

This specific card is quite impressive. Definitely, at the price it has been circulating in the market lately, it is not the best choice since its actual value amounts to €200. However, if we overlook this fact, in terms of performance, it is worth a look. Gigabyte's implementation is one of the best for this specific chipset. The only downside is that it reaches relatively high temperatures (70-75c), but this also depends on the case and the number of fans in it. In summary, it is a good choice for someone who wants to build a new computer or upgrade their build. It runs most AAA titles on high settings with 60+ fps (Apex Legends 98-120 fps, R6 Siege 120-130 fps, Ghost Recon Wildlands 60-86 fps) at 1080p.

The best graphics card on the market in 2021. It is quiet and worth the full 350€ because it doesn't easily break like some others on the market. It also lasts for a very long time and doesn't collect much dust. Finally, as for gaming, what can I say? It runs everything at very high performance. I highly recommend it for parents who have gamer children. They will leave you in peace and won't bother you.

The fans below 37% make an extremely annoying noise, essentially they are not PWM and the temperature hysteresis is non-existent. The stock settings go from 0 fan speed to 40% when they reach 50°C, and the idle 0 dBs is simply a joke because the noise they produce from the opening tilt is simply tragic, worse than old HDDs. So you are forced to download MSI Burner and disable the 0 RPM with the minimum curve at 37-40% because below that they start spinning/rattling.
