What exactly do we mean when we talk about the Separation of State and Church in Greece? What are the historical, political, and social factors that make it necessary? What will be the benefits for citizens in the areas of Education, Economy, Politics, and Justice? And for what reasons does the level of Secularization in our country not make much sense to be compared with other European countries?

In this study, journalist Minas Papageorgiou conducts an in-depth research, from the centuries of Byzantine rule to the present day, aiming to highlight the necessity for the Separation of State and Church in our country. He interviews 11 personalities from the fields of politics, academia, justice, economy, and activism, while also summarizing the most significant events that have marked the relationship between the State and the Higher Hierarchy in the 21st century in Greece.
