The Above & Beyond Student's Book has been designed with the aim of systematically developing students' language skills and enhancing their critical thinking abilities.

• An introduction (lead-in) that presents the chapter's objectives and introduces the chapter's theme through interdisciplinary activities and pre-reading exercises.
• A text or texts followed by two reading comprehension exercises according to exam specifications and an exercise with "open-ended" questions that encourage key learning points and provoke discussion in the classroom.
• Lexical exercises that include phrasal verbs, word formation, idioms, prepositional phrases, etc.
